Katie's POV

"Why are you late?" Kate asked in a whisper.

"I'll tell you later, it's a long story." I responded, sighing as the teacher started taking the roll.

"Katie McDallas?" The old woman called, and I just raised my hand up.

She started calling the other students. She was near the end of the roll. "Gabrielle... R-Row-zum?"

I heard a sigh behind me. "Ros-sum," Gabby said. "Really, I don't see how hard it is for you to pronounce it." She sassed, and I laughed under my breath.

It was one of her pet peeves for her name to be mispronounced. "Okay, Gabrielle Rowzum?" The teacher repeated again and Gabby just said 'here'.

The class had finished and Kate, Gabby and I left the classroom. "So," Kate started. "What happened? Tell us."

Well, how am I going to word this? Hey, guys, I bumped into Liam Payne and I drank water with him.

And literally, that's what I said.

"Wait, what?!" Gabby squealed, and everyone looked at her strangely. "You didn't' even get his auto--"

"Shut up, Gabby!" I slapped her arm, like I always would do if she was loud.

"Are you for real, though?" Kate asked. "You actually met him!"

I slapped her arm too.

"Why did you go to school? You could've just hang with him! You drank water with him! That's something." Gabby said with a cheeky grin.

"Well, anyways, I gotta go to rehearsals. The party tonight is still on. So, see you there I guess? You might even meet Liam again," Gabby said and waved us a goodbye.

"Party means hot guys? Maybe we can meet some," Kate laughed, but then stopped. I knew that she knew I wasn't interested. I was never interested. I will never replace James. Never. Ever.

He's the only one I love. I don't care if he's gone. I love him, and I know he loves me in return still.

The door was already open, but the only person who's arrived was Kate, because her car is outside.

"Hey, can you help me with the food? Like, could you just get it out from my car?" Kate said an tossed me the keys. I walked over to her car and pressed the button to open it. I lifted the back door and got out one whole box filled with food.

A car then drove inside Gabby's driveway and parked. The guy looked familiar, and then another four stepped out. Oh my god.

It's One Direction.

Minus one, because Louis wasn't there. Wait, am I really dreaming? Did this guy just bring almost all of One Direction in Gabby's house? Did Gabby know about this? She probably just invited random people.

I literally rushed inside, but someone walked beside me. "It's you again," the boy sent me a smile.

It was Liam Payne.
