That friday me and Jesse where chatting at the station and Kyle got a fever so he didn't come to work. After hours of searching the chip we still had no sign of the third number. "This is getting old." Said Jesse. "Yeah. I agree." I responded. "Hey Daniel I got a date with Catherine tonight." Said Jesse. "Oh cool! Congrats! Where you going?" I asked. "Just to some fancy diner." "Well that's nice." I said. Jesse laughed. "Yeah. Sure is." "What time?" I asked. "Well I gotta go in like ten minutes to get ready." "Cool." "Dude I'm nervous." Complained Jesse. "You'll be fine." Jesse just rolled his eyes. "Alrighty Daniel, I gotta go. Later dude." "See ya." I walked to my office and sat down and started checking my Email. One Email read 'Meet me in the forest outside of town at midnight... come alone.' The message was from Mike. "Um." I scratch my head in confusion. "What's gonna happen to me if I go?" I thought to myself. Two options went through my head. "Go missing and get tortured or death. either way not good." But no matter what I was probably dead anyways. I Decided I would go armed with a gun and flashlight so nothing could really happen. At eleven thirty I started for the forest outside town. I got there around twelve o fiveish. I got out of my car and walked onto the trail. The night was cold and foggy and there was little light from the moon. "Welcome Daniel." Said a voice from the darkness. "What do you want freak?!" I shoughted. "Oh nothing. I just want to tell you something. Something important." "What?!" "You're fired." He said. Then one of the trees set on fire. Then the tree fell and landed on some dry grass. The next thing I know the whole area around me is engulfed in red and orange flames. "Crap!" I yelled. I started booking it down the trail as fast as I could. My life began to flash before my eyes. I could feel the heat on my skin. "No! NO! NO!!!" I screamed. I could see the end of the trail but I saw a tree getting ready to fall in front of me. I ran faster. Just before I reached the tree and it fell. I slid under it hurting my back. I quickly got back on my feet and ran to my car. I flew in the car and quickly turned the ignition. I sped away from that horrible fire. On the way to the station I called the Fire department. Almost immediately I saw four or five fire trucks speeding down the freeway.
