It was a long week for me, having to run from city to city whenever an outbreak would happen and cops would start to patrol the streets, always suspecting me. I've only had one encounter so far that came too close. Luckily, my powers have been getting stronger than ever, allowing me to slip away into the night. Ever since the incident between my mother and I, the existence of vampires has been brought out to the world. The government is taking a security precaution for humans and many protesters want vampires exterminated. Identities of vampires who were once normal citizens have been getting released, making us run away from city to city. Although now, outbreaks are becoming more frequent. Where blood-crazed vampires would horrendously massacre people and leave huge messes behind. This caused ranks to appear in the vampire society, you either drank blood safely or you were a crazed killer.

I've been getting blood from Yoongi and the occasional drunk passerby without killing them. Yoongi covered his identity when he regained his health and is now a well-respected doctor. Pinching the bridge of my nose, I let myself into my apartment and slump my way into the living room. The sun is starting to come up so I close all the window blinds, making the apartment dark. I hear a thud in the bedroom as if someone fell onto the bed. Calmly, I walk into the bedroom, shutting the door behind me. Turning on the light, I walk up to the bed and sit in the chair next to it.

With my hand, I gently stroke Sakura's hair, damp and rough with knots in it. Her hair turned a silverish-white throughout this past week. Every night she disappears and comes back when the sun starts to come up, not moving nor waking up. But everytime she comes back, she's like this.. Covered and drenched in blood, all over her mouth, neck, hands, and clothes. There's not even a scratch on her and I can smell that it's not her own. I've been dragging her into the bathtub and washing her, along with her clothes and bedsheets in the washing machine. So far she hasn't come close to waking up, but whenever I go to look for her a night, I can never find her.

Only once did I find a scene that she caused, I could only tell because of the smell of that victim's blood. No one would be able to identify that person just by looking at them because they were just a lump of flesh in the end. Blood was everywhere, in the very dark corner of that city, but Sakura was never seen nor sensed. I concluded that she became a crazed killer, but even Yoongi can't figure out why. Whenever I pull up her eyelids it was always just white, her eyes were rolled back everytime.

This is how I passed my morning lately, mostly just sitting in the apartment watching over her. Otherwise I'd just sleep the day away until the sun sets. My ears perks up as I hear the door beep and then open. I finish laying Sakura back onto the bed and head into the main room to see Yoongi setting his stuff down on the coffee table. "How is she?" He asks, not taking a glance at me as he walks past and into the bedroom.

"Same as before," I answer, following him into the room. He does his routinely check up on her before sighing and leaving to his own room. Shutting the door, I walk back and lay next to Sakura in bed. We all slept the day away and I woke up when I felt the night creep in. My eyes open to see that Sakura is once again gone from my side. Feeling thirst and blood pumping in my veins, I get up and quickly burst through the door into the night. Jumping onto the roof of buildings, my eyes sweep through the city. I could immediately sense the safe drinkers even from a far distance. Nothing felt out of place, so I started looking through dark alleyways for Sakura.

Something felt off as I walked pass only a few regular people with no vampires. I had my black hoodie on with the hood up like usual, but the alley felt more quiet than previous days. I sensed a group of people creeping behind me, but I could tell that they are human. Thugs? I thought instinctly. Suddenly one of them called out to me and I turned around. It was a bunch of policemen. "Sir, please put your hands in the air, we just want to check you for drugs or vampire identity."

I bit my tongue and held my hands in the air, letting them walk up towards me. One of the cops pulls out a knife that is used to check if someone is a vampire. Basically they just cut your hand and if it heals then you're positive. Before he could get near me, my vision flashes white for a brief second. In an instant, the heads of all of the cops fall to the floor. A figure stands in front of me with their back facing me, their long white hair swaying to it's normal place. Sakura picks up one of the cop's body and literally shreds him to pieces, eating his flesh afterwards. My stomach drops as I watch her devour them one by one, leaving their remains on the ground. It seems that she only picks parts of the body that taste better.

I walk up to her in the midst of her eating a piece of flesh. She looks up at me when I put my hand on her shoulder, her eyes glowed a fierce dark red that I've never seen before. This is my first time encountering a crazed vampire in action. Sakura stands up, facing me head on as if she's getting ready to attack me. I flinch as she wraps her arms around me with a tight grip that cracks the vertebrates in my spine. The breath in my lungs are forced out in an instant, but I fight to keep my consciousness. I kiss her forehead, still missing her embrace while she's squeezing the life out of me. Sakura looks directly into my eyes and flashes the most insane smile I've ever seen that can only be made by a killer in the depth of insanity.
