Where was he? Why am I here? Is he gone? What happened to his body? Is he having a memoriol?  How did I get here?

All these questions and more swirled around my head like a tsunami of angry bees buzzing angrily. Why? Why did the Fates hate me, after all that I sacrificed for them? Chiron refused to answer how I got here, so I asked him what happened to my father. Chiron looked up at me, his eyes soft, and said quietly,

"I'm very sorry Jexi, but your father-your father is dead."

The words hit me like a jackhammer. My tears made my vision blurry, and I started sobbing right there in front of Chiron. I'm not sure exactly how long I sat there, but he comfortably rubbed my back the entire time. When I finally got up and wiped away my tears he told me,

"Your cabin is clean if you'd like to go there."

I silently nodded my head and we walked to the Artemis cabin. But of coarse it wasn't that easy. On the way there about a dozen campers looked at me, the Great Jexi Chance, warrior of two wars, finally seeing me hurt.

That itself wasn't anything I couldn't handle. But when I saw those familiar sea-green eyes and messy jet-black hair I couldn't. I couldn't let him see me like this. This wasn't me. This was the Jexi that wants give up. That wold do anything to see Dad one more time. I tried to side-step his bone-crushing hug, but he caught me. I hugged back. When Percy finally pulled away and looked me he frowned.

"What happened? Is something wrong? Did I do something?"

I opened my mouth. Nothing came out. I tried again. Nothing.  What was wrong with me? I sighed, shook my head and pulled away. Even though it hurt me so much to walk way from him I just couldn't. I felt awful for leaving one of my best friends and not saying a word.

The next few weeks were different varyations of my 'conversation' with Percy. Everybody else that was on the Argo ll tried their best to make me feel better, though since I hadn't told anyone yet they didn't know what was making me like this. Leo almost made me smile. Frank, being his usual dorky self, made me smile by the smallest tilt of my lips. Piper talked to me for a whole hour about random stuff, helping me keep my mind off certain *ahem* things. Hazel was with us while we were talking as well. Jason and Annabeth gave me a mini-cupcake that had a building with lightning bolts on it. If I was honest it tasted delicious, so I gave them a halfheartedly thumbs-up.

I didn't really expect anybody else to come to me, but He suprised me.

I was sitting on one of the beaches rolling hills, staring off into who-knows-where. The breeze was gently playing with my hair, just enough to be mildly annoying. Just as I was about to go back to my cabin someone tapped my shoulder. The first thing I saw was his messy hair. It looked a lot like Percy's, but longer. Then I saw his black clothing, which consisted of black vans, jeans, a skull t-shirt, and his Stygian-iron sword wrapped around his waist. As I looked back up I saw them. Those beutiful, deadly, eyes. Rich as dark-choclate, they stared at me while I stared at them. We both stood there for a minute, until Nico di Angelo said,

     "Hey Jexi."

I nodded and looked at him expectantley, waiting for him to say more. This entire time our eyes never left the others.

"I-I heard something happened, and I wanted to see if you wanted to talk about it at all."

By the end he had started blushing, and it looked positivley adorable. As I ran the sentence through my head again I realized he said talk. I gave him a look that clearly said How? Nico pulled a pen and notepad out from his pocket and gave them to me. I looked at him again and for some reason I had a feeling that I could trust him. So I wrote it down. All of it. By the time I finished writing (in Greek) my hand was shaking so bad that I dropped the notepad.

I held my breath as Nico picked it up and read what I wrote down. When he finished reading he looked at me, and I could've sworn I saw tears in them, but they were gone  in a second. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but then closed it. He closed his eyes and I felt a very slight tremor in the ground. Nico opened his eyes and he pointedly looked to a spot somewhere near the woods. I glanced over and saw one of the most ridiculous things ever. It was a skeleton doing the conga. Without realizing it I smiled. Not a small smile either. It was a first-class real smile.  I looked over at Nico and realized that he was laughing.

It was the first time in a while I saw him laugh like that.
