"Wake up, Princess.", I heard a man say. Half of my head was still in dream world, but I knew that voice anywhere. I rubbed my eyes and opened them to find daddy standing next to my bedside preparing for something. "Oh god, no." I thought to myself and then giggled. He was smiling mischievously and his hands were both lifted into the air a bit. At that moment,  he started tickling just like he used to whenever he was home. It really was good to have him home. He tickled me so much that I was crying from laughter in the end. " Now that you're wide awake, go and get ready for school. You have a big day ahead of you." he said with a grin as he stood up and headed towards the door. "I'll be in the kitchen making breakfast. Come downstairs to eat in a few minutes."

                                                                               (40 min. later)

" Do you have everything you need?" Daddy asked me as I got into the car. He was taking me to school that morning because mommy had to go to work earlier than usual on that day. "Yes, Daddy." I said and then gave him a nervous smile.  " Are you ok, Pumpkin? You look a little nervous." he said a little concerned after he saw the facial expression that I made.  "I am.", I admitted with a smile.  I did want to go through with this. It's just that I was afraid of what my new school would be like. "What if the kids there are like the kids at my old school?" I asked him worriedly. He smiled back at me confidently. "I doubt that. Everyone is different. From what I've heard, the kids in your new school are very friendly." He patted me on the shoulder and then he started driving. Boy, did I hope he was right.

                                                                           (10 min later)

I looked up at my new school as we got to the parking lot and gazed at it with awe. It was much bigger than Harnew and it looked newer too. "Are you sure this it?" I asked Daddy with a little frown. " It is." he said with a grin and then laughed quietly to himself.  I could tell that he knew what I was thinking of.

Anyway, as I climbed out of the car and closed the door, I looked around to see if Bridget was waiting for me out here just as she had promised. During the weekend, she came over to my house and promised that she'd wait for me in front of the school at this time. "There she is!" I exclaimed happily to daddy as I spotted her. He knew who I was talking about because he was there when Bridget made the promise. She was standing right in front of the school looking at a magazine. "Bye, Daddy." I waved to him and smiled. "I love you." He smiled back.  "I love you too, pumpkin. Have a good day at school." And with that, he waved at me and drove away.

"Bridget!" I called out to her with joy as I ran over to her. She looked up after she heard me calling her name and her eyes lit up when she saw me running towards her. "Bridget" I said with relief as we gave each other a hug. "Thank you for not forgetting me." She let go of me and looked down at me with surprise. Like I said before, I was a very short girl. Bridget was like half a head taller than me. "Forget you? How could I forget my best friend?" she asked me with a frown and then smiled. "Oh Maddie. Give me another hug." I gave her another hug and then grinned at her. She really was the best friend anyone could ever have.

                                                                            ( Bridget's POV)

"Is there really a new kid coming?" Jenna asked me excitedly as we both walked into the classroom. I smiled at the mention of Maddie. I was so happy that I'd finally get to see her and hang out with her more often. "Yes, Jennie." I answered as I went over to my desk and sat down. She came after me and waited for me to continue. "In fact, she's in the office with Mrs. Brooks right now." Her eyes lit up at my reply. "I can't wait to meet her. What's her name? How long have you known her?" You see, this was Jennie, one of my best friends at that school. Some people found her annoying because she was always so hyper and loved to talk, but at the same time, these were the reasons why the others loved her. "Well" I started
