And that's Nyra. Back to the story now.

~Deiana's Pov~

I woke to the sound of my alarm screeching. I turned to find Alex on his bed. But he wasn't there.
I slightly peeked in the washroom door as it was half open. He was sitting on the floor texting someone.
I stood there for about a minute.
After a minute he saw me standing there.
"Good morning baby. You're up" He said standing up in front of me.
"Yeah!" I reply
"Who were you texting?" I ask casually
"Uh - no one" He replied and slid his arms around my waist.
"Tonight I'm gonna be at Walters dorm so I guess I won't be able to come by midnight" He whispered in my ear.
I sighed.
"I'll make it up to you babe" He said.
I smiled.
"Where's my morning kiss?" I ask.
"Heree. .." He says pecking my lips.
"That wasn't a- " He cut me by saying
"I really gotta go deiana. My class is about to start" He said.
I pecked his lips and he left.
I wonder what's up with him.

I do light makeup and change into a grey crop top with black skirt.
I got a text from Nyra.

You still getting dressed?
You are already late missy!
                                8:07 a.m.

Dammit! I'm again late. And how does she know I'm still getting ready! Well bestie.

                                     8:08 a.m.

I grab my bag and leave my room.
As I'm locking my dorm room, I see max who lives in the dorm right next to mine, locking his dorm.

"Morning max" I say.
"Moring" He replies.
"Where's leah?" I ask

Leah is Max's current girlfriend. They both live in the same dorm along with harvey.

"She went early today. I don't really know why but well yeah she did." He said
"Okay then. I guess I'll see you around" I say
"See ya." He says.

I reach my class at 8:30. Oh shit half an hour late.
"May I come in?" I ask my science teacher.
"Where were you ms. Morgan?" She asks.
"My door got stuck    ?" I say in a questioning tone.
"You're safe this time. Next time detention." She says.

I walk over to my seat next to nyra.
"Well I'm assuming you and Alex were being all romantic and forgot about the time?" She says.
"Nahh he left at 7 only" I say.
"Really? I'm here since 6, didn't see him around" She says.
"Huh! You must have not paid attention to whose arrived and whose not" I reply.
"Yeah! Only 3 children were here. How can I not see him" nyra replies.
"Silence" our teacher scolds.
And we dropped the conversation.

At lunch

"Dude. I'm so fed up with my building. There are literally only girls living there. And my roomate, alicia, she just wears dresses!!" Nyra says.
"Well she's a girl. and you are a boy who by mistake was born as a girl" I reply.
We both laugh.
"I'm gonna talk to my dorm head. Or else I'm not gonna survive there." She says.
"By the way can I move in your dorm?" She asks.
"I'd love you to move in but Alex and mine privacy will be disturbed." I say
"Oh it's okay! I'll find some other dorm then" She says.
The bell rings and we again go to our scheduled classes.

After school, nyra and me walk towards our buildings. Mine is in the left block. And hers is in the right block.
"So how's it going with Alex?" She asks uneasily
She has never liked Alex as a person. She always refers to him as a jerk.
"It's going fine. Why do you ask?" I reply.
"Apart from the fact that he was- oh never mind." She says.
I give her a tell me that right now look.
"I'll see you tomorrow" She says and runs towards her building
"Nyra wait!" I scream
But she is far away to hear my scream.
I wonder what's Alex hiding.
And what's up with Nyra anyway. Let's wait for tomorrow.
