A Life Gone Wrong

She was happy and sweet

Like most little girls

She liked to play games

And spread joy to her friends

Then middle school came

She grew smarter each day

But kids got meaner

As the years went on

By high school, thing happened

She couldn't explain

She wanted people to like her

So she followed the crowd

She'd attend parties

And try to look cool

She even would drink

A bottle of alcohol too

Then one Friday night

While at a senior boy's party

She drank a little too much

And woke up with no memory

She surveyed the room

And noticed her clothes

Then images flashed in her mind

Of what happened that night

She knew she was rape

And she cried for what had happened

Then she gathered her things

And left to walk home

She shut herself in

And wouldn't talk to anyone

For the fear of someone talking about her

Was just too much to bear

Then one summer night

On the last day of school

She took her own like

So her nightmares would end
