Zhang's Journey

Appearance and Appraisal

"I don't believe you," said the military man with a blank stare.

"I'll show you then," said Zhang with a look of pride.

"Zhang don't," said Unami but he ignored him.

Zhang knew this was a perfect time to reveal himself. Maybe he could stop the attack and help create a better plan. He snapped his fingers together and a spark ignited, from that a fire formed from thin air and hovered in his hands. He then whipped his hand at the sandstone floor and from it a small rock came loose and flew into Zhang's hand.

"Now do you beieve me?" asked Zhang with the rock and fire still floating above his hands. The entire room looked with wide eyes. Their expressions changed from shock to confidence. They must've figured that the avatar would surely help them in their attempts to overthrow the controlling system of the lands.

"So you are, then maybe your opinion does count, son," said the same military man who also insulted him and scolded him for butting in.

"Yeah, it does. This entire plan is just going to spread more war. We need to find a peaceful and appropriate way to restore bending and the previous governement. I will not allow more death than what there already was," said Zhang

"Fine, we'll revise the plan....as long as you help," Said the military man,"I'm commander Dakota. I lead the military of Uhnderstone and I am in charge of bringing us up to the overworld along with our bending,"

"I see, so you're the one who wants to blow things up? I'll help gladly as long as what I say, goes. I will not let war start once again, understand?"

"I understand, Avatar Zhang," said Dakota with a smug look,"Welcome to the team. If you need a home or any other rescources I will gladly supply,"

"That's fine, I've got these guys," Zhang said as he pointed to Unami and Uyi.

"Oh, I see. Well, enjoy the next seven days because in a week you'll be helping us devise a plan to get us up to the sun," Said Dakota with a large smile.

The meeting was ajourned shortly after their conversation and Zhang went home with Unami and Uyi. That evening Zhang was asked a million questions from Uyi like, 'So can you bend fire from your mouth and water from your nose?" which really didn't bother Zhang. He liked talking to Uyi and Unami.

  Unami cooked for them also. Stuffed rat and pork chops. The meal was delicious considering Zhang had only eaten the same foods for 6 years. They ended the night in the living room where both Unami and Uyi crashed before Zhang even sat down. He knew that things were going up for him. That night, Zhang fell asleep with a smile.
