12: is this real life?

(Lizzie's POV)

I went up to the ordering thing and took out my money, ready to pay for my order. "Thank you." I smiled as I was handed a tray of my food. I went to the nearest booth and sat down. I took the first bite of my chocolate chip muffin. After that I gulped down a sip of my cream and caramel swirl latte. I continued to eat.

The bell on the door rang, signaling that someone was entering the Café. My head turned to the door as four bodies entered. Three of which were grown men in black. The other person was a teen and had dirty blonde hair and black Ray Ban sunglasses. They wore a grey beanie, a light blue shirt, white skinny jeans and galaxy Vans.

I knew exactly who it was.

Matt Espinosa shoved me further into my booth and sat next to me. The men sat on the other side of the table and watched me with dark eyes. "What do you want?" I questioned.

"You" Matt winked.

"How about you meet me at my house tomorrow night at 9:00. Don't bring anybody with you and if you don't show up, you'll regret not coming, honey." Matt kissed me on the cheek and gave me a death glare. I was scared out of my mind and speechless. He reached his hand under the table and squeezed my thigh. I stayed put but flinched at his touch. "Bye baby girl. See you tonight." Matt licked his lips and walked away with his body guards. Well I think they are bodyguards.

'Should I go tonight?' I asked my mind. I really don't think I should. But if I don't go, things will get worse. I got up from my bed and checked my phone. I went on Instagram and double clicked on new posts. I came to one of Matt biting his lip and the caption was:

Oh how I hate you, Matthew Espinosa. I clicked my home button and entered twitter. I started to type:

After I posted the tweet I realized I had shared my secret. Yes, I did date Matt before Magcon started. I remember those 2 years like the back of my hand.

*Flashback to 8th grade*

Matt and I have been it a serious relationship for almost two years. That was pretty good for eighth graders. We were cuddling on Matts bed watching TV when he said, "I love you Elizabeth Mari Graceffa. I really hope you remember that for a long time. I will never, ever forget you." I was blushing from his choice of words. "I love you too." I admitted. We sat there in the dark staring into eachothers eyes. I had the best boyfriend ever.

*flashback to night of breakup*

I stood in Matts room waiting for him to get home from a vine interview. Mrs.Espinosa had invited me in. Matt would be here any second. I heard the door handle jiggle and Matt walked in with a short, blond haired girl. "L-Lizzie I can explain. She is u-u-um-" "Don't even try." I cut him off. "He's mine now bitch." the blonde blew a bubble with her gum and popped it. Mean Girls much? I felt a tear slip down my check so I slapped Matt and ran downstairs. I rushed out the door without a word. I ran all the way home to the apartment I shared with Joey. My mom was in rehab and my dad was somewhere far away. My life was already sad and now I have a broken heart.

*end of flashbacks*

I called Shawn and told him to come over ASAP.

A couple minutes later Shawn showed up. "I have something to tell you." I gulped. I was about to tell the story of my relationship with Matt. "shoot." Shawn smiled. He wouldn't be smiling for long. "well long story short, Matt and I were friends in the summer after 7th grade and we started dating. Things got serious and we went into eighth grade. We started to say that we loved each other and little did I know, He was lying. One day, when I was waiting for him to get home from something, he came back with a girl. He tried to explain but we broke up. So 3 years later, here he is trying to get me to be his girlfriend. I was at the Café and he showed up. He told me to meet me at his house tomorrow at nine pm. He threatened me and now I don't know what to do." I sighed, out of breath.

"So just do what I said. I will be on the road behind Matts house. I'm on speed dial right? I will be there as soon as you call me. Only if it's an emergency. Got it?" Shawn assured me.

"Uhm hm" I stared at Shawn. I couldn't ask for a better friend.

So that was the chapter! I hope you guys liked it. So I really really sorry this was really late. I had to 'babysit' for two days and I also had to go to Pennsylvania with my uncle to get fire works.
