Twenty Six (Revenge)

I woke up to my phone buzzing on the table. But I didn't fully get up until it fell on the floor.

I jumped up and hopped out of the bed grabbing my phone.

Caspian- Send Nova now

I slipped into my boots not even bothering to tie them and ran to Nova's. I tried calling her on the way there but she didn't answer.

When I got to her door I started banging on it trying to catch my breath.

She answered half naked and sleepy.

"What the fuck do you want?" She said rubbing her eyes.

"Daddy come back to bed." A girl said from behind her.

I scrunched my face looking behind her and shook my head.

"Are you awake?" I asked

She shook her head.

I backhanded her and she grabbed her jaw.

"Wake the fuck up. Go to Core. Report to me when you make it and me only. You got five minutes to be leaving." I said and walked away.

I went to Caspian's office and sat at the desk. Omoni burst through the door with a laptop.

"I came soon as I heard. I've been monitoring. It seems some Dosers got high or some shit and went on a rebellion kick. It's not that bad but it's nothing Caspian can handle alone." He said

"Are you suggesting a team?" I asked

He shook his head and continued looking at his laptop.

"Nova should be enough." He said

"Heard anything from the teams out already?" I asked

He nodded his head and gave me a thumbs up.

"Nova just arrived on site." He said

I checked my phone and didn't see anything from her.

"I swear she doesn't listen. Send her a notice telling her to stay with Cas until he returns." I said to him.

He nodded his head and stood up.

"You need to go back home and get some rest." He said looking at me.

"Rest is for the weak." I said smiling and signed off on the last of the paperwork.

He walked out the office and the girl that was with Nova came in.

"Can I help you?" I asked staring at her.

"You don't know me." She said confused.

"You're right I don't but I'm pretty sure you'll fill me in." I said

She chuckled and sat down.

"My name's Paige." She said

"Look cut the bullshit and tell me why you're here." I said

She sighed and sat back in the chair.

"I want to know where you sent Nova." She said

" Well you won't be getting what you want so if that's all you wanted you can unass yourself out of that seat and leave." I said looking back over papers.

She scoffed and slammed her hands on the desk.

"Listen here bi-....." Before she could finish her sentence I had punched her in the face.

"Leave." I said sitting back down.

She held her jaw and walked quickly out of the office.

I sat back in the chair and rubbed my temples.
