Levi was two things. Lost and trouble. There was no avoiding those things for him. Trouble followed him everywhere, and he took trouble everywhere. Their relationship went hand-in-hand. There was no one without the other. The moment he found out he was lost, it was too late to find his way back.

Eren was two things. Lost and in love. Both developed together when he met Levi. With an unfortunate meeting at a bar, it was down to the dark obyess of lost ones. Levi was there too, and trouble followed him there. Now, as they walk together, trouble trailed behind as Levi continued to feed him.

They both sat at their small kitchen table with a cup of tea in their hands. Levi looked out the window. His face was lit by the sun coming in. Eren looked down at his tea cup that his hands craddled as if it needed protection. His eyes were red from the crying earlier. It was silent. They were unmoving. There was no tencion. Finally, Eren wipped his nose with the back of his hand bringing Levi's attention to him. They looked at each other. Levi moved his hand across the table, and lopped his finger around Eren's. Levi spoke many words to Eren. They were all in hopes of crawing out of that dark hole.

"I'm sorry."

"I know."

"Do you?"

"Yes, Levi."

"You don't seem very apologetic."

"Maybe that's because I'm not fucking apologetic!"

"Yes, you are."

"You don't know a damn thing, Levi! All you ever do is snort that shit. You've completely forgotten about the world around you. You've completely forgotten about me!"

"I do this for you, Eren."

"I want you to do it for you. You are going to die if you keep this up."

Levi looked away. He sipped his tea. Levi didn't want to lose his life, but he didn't want to lose Eren either. His eyes looked back at Eren who has his head rested on the table. His hand found it's own way to his hair. It was soft against Levi's rough hands. His fingers dragged along Eren's scalp. A smile whispered onto Levi's lips. Then Eren lifted his hand and placed it over Levi's hand.

"I'm still mad at you." Eren's voice was muffled.

"I know."

"Do you?"

"Yes, Eren."

"Keep doing that."

Eren slid his hand down to Levi's forearm. Levi chuckled and continued to rub Eren's scalp. Eren shifted to be able to look at Levi. They looked at each others eyes. Levi had so much to prove to Eren. He planned on it. That the life he lived wasn't for nothing. He was going to prove it.

"I like your smile," Eren whispered.

"I like yours too."

He exhaled. "You're making me lose my mind, Levi."

"So are you."

. . .

The next day Eren sat on the couch working on his laptop. Then, the door bell rang. He didn't not even blink at the sound. Eren's fingers continued to type. At the second knock, he looked up at the door. He huffed in annoyance and called out for Levi, but there was no response. The person remained at the door.

"Levi! The door!" Eren called from the couch into their bedroom. When there was no response, Eren reluctantly got up. He walked to their room where he found Levi sleeping in their bed. Eren shook his shoulders gently. Levi groaned as he woke up.

Moments before he began to protest for being awakened, the third knock echoed through the house. Levi met Eren's worried eyes. He dismissed them with a look of confidence. When Levi walked to the door, Eren didn't follow him. He sat on the edge of the bed waiting. In the safety of the room, he could hear their voices.
