A/N: THis is all I have written at this point. GIve me some ideas. Hope you enjoy. I'll do my best to work on this story with life going on.
Chapter 7 Hide Out
The colony was burning, Caesar had been shot. Apes were running around screaming, some trying to go back into the fire as a few children had become trapped. I was able to get through the flames and I gathered the children and I ran back out of the flames. The children ran to their families and I went in search of Caesar, I knew the rest of the apes were attacking the city but I also knew they wouldn't listen to me. I had no clue what Koba would do to me. He had already hit me with a gun. Whatever mutual respect he had held for me was gone.
I wandered off on my own, knowing that without Caesar that this wouldn't stop. If I couldn't find him, I would have to confront Koba and take over the colony and try to make peace. That wouldn't happen easily, humans had long since forgotten how to forgive. Most of them had never learned and a lot of people blamed them for the virus when it was created by humans. Humans had created their own demise when trying to prevent it. "Oh what a tangled web we weave when we first practice to deceive."
After a night of searching, I found Caesar and the humans. I had no clue where the rest of the colony was, Koba must have them all following him, if not out of loyalty then fear, the ones that were loyal to Caesar would either be killed or kept prisoner. I wondered if he would honor the 'ape no kill ape' rule, but I highly doubted it. The other humans and I loaded Caesar into the back of one of their trucks, he needed medical attention, I had used the last of my supplies on Ash and Koba.
Caesar led us to the house he spent the first few years of his life in; there we could lay low for a while. We still needed medical supplies though. Ellie said she had some at the place. "Where?" I asked.
"I'll go," Malcolm said.
"Too dangerous. If Koba sees you, he'll kill you. Koba tolerates me, give me directions, I think like ape, not like human, won't be found as easily. Koba will put other humans in cage," I said realizing I spoke more like the apes did. He finally gave in and gave me directions and I left, going to get the med kit. Finding the colony was easy enough, getting in was another trick. Apes were everywhere, looking for humans. I was able to climb where other humans weren't, staying out of sight, but not out of reach. I had taken on my chimp form, the only thing giving me away, my eyes. They were different colors, one was gold like that of a tiger or a wolf and the other was green like a cat.
I finally found the right room and packed a bag of what Ellie would need and a few extra of things just in case. Just as I was about to slip away I noticed Blue Eyes. "Blue Eyes?" I asked carefully, not having a form that could fly. The ape in front of me lowered his gun and stepped forward confirming my suspicion. "Come with me, please, your father is alive. Let me take you to him." Now that I had help that Koba trusted, a plan had to be made to get Caesar's followers free, free the humans, and get out of here with as little loss of life as possible. Easier said than done.
