Chapter 13 - @Julia_Golafshan (twitter)

Mrs. Nowaf closed the door, and sat down, looking very seriously at the four of us sitting across from her.

“What was that all about girls? You know we do not tolerate violence at this school, so in order for you to not get an automatic suspension, you had better had a pretty good reason for your actions!”

She glared at us for a few seconds, and, not knowing what we should do, we all just awkwardly looked back at her.

“It wasn’t-“ “We were-“

Stephanie and I both started talking at the same time; Stephanie glared at me and kept talking. If looks could kill… I swear she was meaner than Regina George!

“As I was saying,” she said, still shooting me killer eyes, “we were practicing for a drama performance, and obviously we were quite convincing! I assure you, Mrs. Nowaf, what you saw was simply the work of some dedicated students, nothing more.”

With that, she gave a delicate little smile, and folded her hands on her lap, and lowered her head, feigning being sad.

I just wanted to punch her perfect, made up face – she was a good actor, that much was true, but if Mrs. Nowaf realized what really happened, she could have been expelled! But I’m not that lucky, unfortunately, so Mrs. Nowaf believed her.

“Well… I suppose that makes sense; Miss Gallaher, is that what happened?”

With four sets of eyes on me, three being evil, one being caring, I knew what would happen if I even hesitated, so I quickly lied, mentally hitting myself as I did so.

“Yes, Mrs. Nowaf, our drama performance is certain to cause a lot of, um, speculation!”

“Mmmm,” Mrs. Nowaf looked quite warily at us, “well, stay out of trouble girls, and I hope your, er, performance goes well. I’ll you write you class passes as to why you are late, but I don’t want any more visits in here from ANY of you. Understood?”

We all nodded and quietly left, Rose being the last one out. As soon as she heard the soft click of the door closing, Emma came right up to my face and hissed, “Stay out of our way, or you’ll regret it, bi-atch.”

Wow. I thought girls only said that in movies; obviously not.

“Easily done,” I smirked, “I don’t usually hang out around dumb people.”

“Are you calling us dumb?!” shrieked Rose – not a good sound for her.

“I bet you don’t even know how to spell slut!” I said to her, knowing perfectly well that she could indeed spell it.

“I can too!” she said, a grin on her face.

“Prove it!” I said, leaning against the wall, waiting for her to reply.

“S – L – U – T!” she spelled out, smiling at me, looking quite victorious.

“Congratulations, you know how to spell your name!” I said, leaving three girls with very wide open mouths as I walked off to my first class.

They were probably going to make me regret saying that, but it was worth it to see the looks on their faces. Speaking of which, it looked like a crayon had raped Emma’s face, and Rose had just drawn on her face with colouring pencils.

Scarily enough, Stephanie actually looked good the way her make up was done… except that she really did look like a slut with the amount of skin she showed off. At least no one could call me a slut, with my long sleeves.

My day went by slowly of course, and I found myself constantly looking at the clock, counting down the hours until I could go see Niall and the boys again.

Throughout the whole day, however, people kept coming up and asking me if I was the girl on TV, in the newspaper, in their magazine. It got to the point where I was so irritated, I thought I might develop fangs… interesting thought.

Finally, I had my last class of the day – my favorite class as well; english. We had a young teacher who told a lot of jokes, and actually kept us interested in whatever we would be learning about.

Mr. Posey called me to his desk just before class started, and I thought I might be in some trouble, so I walked up to his desk looking worried.

“Is everything alright, Mr. Posey?”

“Everything’s fine,” he laughed, seeing my face, “don’t look so worried Ivy! I just wanted to ask how you’re doing with all this new publicity – is everyone treating you well?”

I was touched by his concern; he’s only a teacher but he went above and beyond what a teacher needs to do, and showed how much he actually cares for his students.

“It’s alright, I guess,” I mumbled, not wanting to tell him the truth, “just a bit… repetitive.”

He chuckled softly.

“Okay, I believe you Ivy. But if you need some help with anyone harassing you at school or anything like that, you just let me know straight away, okay?”

“Yes sir,” I replied, and smiled at him before walking back to my desk, and getting my stuff out. Beck and I had only one class together; english, another reason it was my favourite class.

As we sat down, I filled her in on all the gossip, and how I was seeing the boys in an hour or so. She was so excited for me, and I realized just how lucky I am to have a supportive, not jealous best friend.

In the middle of class, I sent a quick text to Zayn saying; you wanted to hang out, what time do you want me to be there? :P

I got a quick response: as soon as you can, we’re all dying of boredom :(

what? One direction bored? the horror. btw, you will be responsible should my death occur via your fans…

I laughed as I sent the text. I really did not want to get inundated with screaming fans again.

ah, sorry! we’ll send a car to your school, what is the name?

I sent him the details, amazed at how quickly he replied. Zayn must really be bored. Everyone in my class looked bored as well, and I nearly laughed out loud, thinking of what some of them would say if they knew I was texting ZAYN MALIK!

Finally, the bell went, signaling the end of school. I could have screamed out of happiness, yet another day gone before graduation.

I walked over to the designated area, and a black, unmarked car pulled up, just as I finished texting Zayn telling him I was waiting for their driver. Sounds like something out of a horror movie, but I knew it was the boys’ car because Zayn described the car to me, thank goodness.

Otherwise I probably would have thought I was being kidnapped or something.

The driver walked out and opened the door, and I got in the back seat, admiring the leather seats, and built in TV’s. The car was huge, and just as we started to drive, a huge crash noise sounded behind my head.

I slowly turned around.
