1st Person
Several Months Later

My name is [Last Name] [Name]. Roughly six months ago I got into a car crash in which I was the only one to survive. In the car was my family, who are now all deceased. Some of my injuries include, four cracked ribs, a concussion, a shattered knee cap, a broken wrist, and various other injuries. If you were wondering why I have a knee and wrist brace, I hope your curiosity has been put at ease. If you have anymore questions don't ask because I'm not going to give you an answer. Nice to meet you.

"Um, [Last Name]-san would you introduce yourself to the class? Please tell us your name and where you're from."
Now I wish I could say all of that but if I did I would get scolded by [Aunt's Name].
"Sorry, yes. It is nice to meet you all, my name is [Last Name] [Name] but if you could call me [Name] that'd be appreciated. I am from [Home Country]. I hope to have a wonderful year with you all." God, I hate introducing myself. Everyone always stares at me, first at my knee, then my wrist, and finally my face.

"It's nice it meet you [Last Name]-san, you can sit in the seat right behind Yachi-san. Could you raise you hand Yachi-san?"

A small blond girl, who looked flustered, raised her hand. Although she seemed as if she wanted to ask about the braces, she seemed too nice to do so. I think I just might ask to sit with her at lunch today.

As I made my way to the back of the class a wave a whispers erupted, per usual. I just ignored them and continued my walk. Once I got to my seat the teacher started class.

Timeskip

The loud chimes of a bell seemed to interrupt the focused atmosphere in the room. Once the bell went off the teacher walked to her desk and sat down while some students walked out of the classroom to go socialize. "Yachi-san" turned around and faced me.

"H-hi there, my name is Yachi Hitoka, nice to meet you." She gives me a small smile.

"Nice to meet you Yachi-san, my name is [Last Name] [Name], but please call me [Name]." I flashed her a smile, in return and she became flustered and started shaking her hands.

"N-no! I couldn't!" She was also vigorously shaking her head. I laughed a bit at her reaction. "W-what's do funny?" She put her hands down.

"Well it's just that I haven't talked to anyone as energetic at you in awhile."
She looked at me dumbfounded. "Okay, how about this. You call me [Name] and I'll call you Ya-chan." I gave her a soft smile. "If that's okay with you of course."

"T-that sounds wonderful. N-nice to meet you [Name]-chan."

"Nice to meet you too Ya-chan." We both started giggling.

"Hey, [Name]-chan. Would you like to sit with me and a few of my friends at lunch?" Yachi asked me.

"Sure, I'd love to." Just then the bell rung and class resumed.

Timeskip!

"Hey Ya-chan?" I tapped on her shoulder. The lunch bell had just rung and Yachi was starting to pack up her stuff.

"Yeah?" She turned around in her seat.

"How long is lunch?" I felt a bit embarrassed I had to ask her, but I wasn't informed of much before I was taken to class. The boy that took me here seemed a bit annoyed and I didn't want him to take it out on me.

"Oh, it's about forty-five minutes, not including the time in between bells. Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering because I didn't want to ask the boy that took me here. He just seemed too scary." I said, scratching the back of my neck.
