Ruby was nervous. She was meeting the guy she's been talking to for 3 month, on his birthday. What if he doesn't like her? What if she didn't like him? Don't be dumb you've seen him before, Yeah in a picture, 

"Ruby? Are you ok? You looked like you were having a conversation in your own mind" Aaliyah asked

"What?"

"Are. You. Ok"

"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be?"

"You have that look on your face."

"What? I don't know what your talking about."

"You know excatly what she's talking about." Lila said.

"And you should be keeping your eyes on the road."

"I am!"

"Are you sure about that."

"I'm done with conversation."

"Rude."

"How is that rude?"

Ruby opened her mouth to response but Aaliyah interrupted her.

"How about we all just stop talking."

The whole car sat in sliences for 5 minutes.

"You ready?" Aaliyah asked breaking the sliences.

"Nope." Ruby replied

"I'm ready to meet the love of my life" Lila said

"Wow Lila, you've never met him." Aaliyah replied

"So, I know it's meant to be." Lila countered

"And how would you know?"

" Well for one, remember when you gave me some candy yesterday? Guess what kind it was?" 

" What kind cause I don't remember me giving you one." Ruby said  

" Well you did and I got watermelon." Lila said

"And what does that have to do the conversation?" Aaliyah asked

"Everything!" Lila exclaimed.

Aaliyah and Ruby went silent, clearly not getting it. Suddenly Ruby started to laugh.

"Wait what happened." Aaliyah said confused,

At this point Ruby couldn't stop laughing.

"Y-you think just because of a jolly rancher, it's meant to be." Ruby said calming down

"Yes!"

"Ruby. Explain." Aaliyah said.

"Well Aaliyah, our dear friend here thinks just because she got a watermelon flavored jolly rancher she and Daniel are meant to be." She explained.

"Wowww Lila really?"

"It's true!"

"I doubt it." Ruby said.

"Whatever at least I believe it." Lila said.

"Look we're here."

Ruby's nervous kicked in. Aaliyah noticed.

"It's going to be ok Ruby" She asked.

"Ok." Ruby said.

Lila parked the car and the three girls got out.

"How did you get their address anyway?" Aaliyah asked

"Zach gave it to me. He said I'm apart of their  surprise." Ruby said

"Ooh." Aaliyah and Lila said at the same time.

"Whatever."

They arrived at the door.

"Aren't you going to ring the bell?" Aaliyah asked

"Umm well you see I-" Ruby was interrupted by the doorbell. She turned to Lila and she shrugged.

"You were taking the long."

" I don't know what to say, hurry think of something!" Ruby said nervously.

" Why are you asking us, you're the saying it"

"I don't know thats the-" The door opened revealing a curly headed boy with chip crumbs on his shirt. Jack's eyes widened. Ruby couldn't think of anything so she said the first that popped into her head.

"Hey Curly-Top"
