Ruby set her phone down and was about grab the remote when she heard the doorbell ring. She looked at Aaliyah. Aaliyah looked back her.

"Nose goes." Ruby said and raised her finger to her nose, but Aaliyah beat her to it.

" HA I beat you, told you I was a fast turtle!" Aalyah said smiling. "Now if you excuse me I have a tree to grow."

Ruby rolled her eyes and went to the door. She opened it to reveal the smell of flowers. Behind the flowers was Jack.

"Um hi." he said.

"Hello." Ruby said

"RUBY WHO'S AT THE DO-" Aaliyah ran behind Ruby and her eyes wided.

"Hey Aaliyah." Jack smiled.

"Hi Jack, what are you doing here?" Aaliyah replied turning to look up at me.

"I'm here to take Ruby out for her birthday." Jack said.

"Right now?" Ruby saod

"Yep"

"Oh really? Well let me take these," taking the flowers from Jack "you guys have fun!" Aaliyah said and pushed Ruby out the door. 

Ruby was about to say something but was cut off by the door slamming in her face.

"Well then."

"You ready?"

"I have no choice now, Aaliyah might throw me out back out if I go back in there."

Jack chuckled.

"Let's go then."
