Chapter 1 - An unexpected message

Harry opens his laptop feeling sleepy. It has been about 8 years after the Battle of Hogwarts Harry decided to take a break from the wizarding world for few months which turned out to an entire year and Harry made up his mind to be a healer rather than become an Auror so he was trying to mold muggle technology to wizarding use

So as he opened the laptop for research work there was an email from Draco.greenapple@gmail.com

Harry was shocked for a moment but then he thought it might be spam for two reasons one being that no one heard from Malfoy after the war and second why the hell would Malfoy send him an email anyways.

But he decided to open the mail

It went like

Potter

I know this might come as a shock to you but I'm writing to you and

everyone I've ever wronged and apologized.

The last few years have been quite hard for me and I decided to finally live by my terms as Father is no around anymore and mom approves. . . I don't know why I am saying this but

anyway bcoz why would you care golden boy about me an antagonized death eater kid. . . Sorry I am still learning. . . So anyways

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have run my mouth and insulted you just about every time. Although you punched me after the quidditch match during the fifth year, so I feel justified in that instance. Also, I probably shouldn't have stomped on your nose, Did it bleed a lot? (maybe you deserved that)

Aside from that, I'm actually. . . Um. . . I wanted to say. . .

Thank you. For saving my life from an out of control Fiendfyre. And also for

defeating that insane megalomaniac.

And the other times you helped me and I just insulted you. . . Sorry again

And Potter, kindly swallow your arrogance and write back so I can try and move on a bit

Harry shook to his core. He went through an emotional roller coaster while reading that email as soon as he finished reading it. . . He decided to reply

Merlin! Where do I even start. . . First of all, I am very glad that you mailed me (:

And it does matter and I don't antagonize you. . . I know I don't know this but I always felt that you were being forced to do all the mean stuff. . . I could see the pain in ur eyes sometimes

And you feel justified for the fifth year quidditch debacle? Are you mad? You got me a lifetime ban from Umbitch! And breaking my nose and leaving me on the train? Those are probably the only two I'm still angry about. All of the others? I gave as good as I got, and when I didn't I got to see Hermione smack your pretty face!

I'll take the apology, because I don't know why but you sound sincere for the first time in your life, but you don't need to thank me for the fiendfyre. I wouldn't have been there to save you if you hadn't saved me at the manor.

You were a pain in the ass back at. Hogwarts (really hope that you have changed), but you made the right call when it mattered.

And besides anyone saying sorry should b me. . . After that sectumsempra moment. . . I am really really sorry Malfoy. . . I don't think you could forgive me ever. . . I don't think I can even forgive myself ever. . . really I am so sorry Malfoy

And you are not as bad as you think and I am not as good as everyone thinks. . . See you are trying to make things out. . . And me I am just being ignorant and running away from my problems

As Harry hit the send button he felt like he has thrown of huge baggage he has been carrying around all this time and he went to sleep thinking about Draco's mail and smiling to himself
