Tomorrow was the day.
Jin's long-term dream would come true.
Jin proudly looked around at the coffee-coloured walls of his new shop. Every single piece of furniture had been placed with care and Jin grinned as he remembered Namjoon swearing that he would walk out if the layout was rearranged again.
Not that he wasn't thinking of adding three new booths in the corner for any couples that might come in wanting privacy.
In his left hand was a box of chocolate and vanilla muffins, with a special hotpot he had made in his right.
It was during another one of Namjoon's complaining sprees that Jin had thought of the idea. On that day, Namjoon had been talking about how he felt sorry for anyone next door.
With a little bit of local research, he had found out that the place next door was a Lamb Skewers place owned by a couple who tended to keep to themselves. From what he had gathered they were two men and, according to the high-school girls he had been talking to it was a shame that they were gay.
"I'd totally tap the older guy if I could. He's sexy as fuck" One of the girls had exclaimed.
"Nu-uh, I saw Jungkook oppa the other day on campus. He's way hotter."
"But Yoongi oppa plays basketball."
The girls had quickly stopped squabbling and excused themselves, leaving Jin to decide that he would come to a conclusion himself by setting his eyes upon them himself.
So -technically- his visit was less of an apology but more of an excuse to see if there were any other good looking guys around.
Excitedly, he walked out the side door from his house on top of the restaurant and headed towards the neighbouring shop.
Compared to Jin's extravagant pink and nude coloured shop sign -which he had taken extra care in picking the cursive font- the shop next door was... drab. It looked like it was straight out of the 19th century, the shop sign written in block capitals in a faded red colour.
Yoonkook Lamb Skewers.
He wrinkled his nose already imagining how Jin would redesign the sign. Bright red, with a curved Sans font and a cream background.
Unlike his restaurant, no bell chimed to indicate that someone was coming in. Jin walked into a large space, filled with rickety wooden chairs and wooden tables, stained from what must have been the juice from the skewers.
The whole shop was empty and Jin felt like he was intruding into a sacred shrine. There was nobody at the counter even though the sign at the door had clearly said that the shop was open.
Cautiously, Jin tip-toed further in. On his left was an open door that gave him a clear view of stairs leading up to what must have been the flat upstairs.
Jin frowned as he heard a rustling of clothes.
What was going on?
Slowly, he slid across the unpolished floor and peeked around the door.
It was safe to say that he was not prepared for what he saw.
A large broad-shouldered man had a much smaller man pinned up against the wall. Jealousy and surprise coursed through him as he witnessed the two, lips crashing together in a kiss that was...frantic, loving and powerful
The shorter one (which he recalled was older than the other) fisted the younger's chestnut hair and even from the distance, Jin could see visible veins in his pale hands. His cheeks were puffed up and his hair was tousled.
The nameless taller man moved down to the smaller's neck, receiving small moans in response. Hands roamed around to nameless places.
Any further and...
Just the thought made Jin's mind reel backwards as he scrambled to get away.
God damn the flimsy chair that blocked him.
Jin's foot caught on one of the chair legs and he landed on the hard floor with a wincingly loud thud.
Pain shot through his leg, rushing to his bottom. He couldn't help but whimper.
All noise in the stairway ceased.
That's it. Jin thought. I've done it now, haven't I?
"Who the fuck is there?"
He gulped at the raspy voice as the shorter man came into view. Jin gazed up helplessly attempting a dazzling smile.
The man -Yoongi- did not seem impressed.
From his place on the floor, Jin admired Yoongi. Dyed blue hair sticking up in all directions and lips gloriously swollen.
Others would have been scared but Jin, for some reason thought the expression he was receiving was extremely cute.
"Who is it hyung?"
Now that Jin had a clear view of the younger called Jungkook, it was obvious that those high school girls had been telling the truth. He had a jawline that could cut the carrots in Jin's kitchen and warm brown eyes that were teasing but welcoming. The slightly large front teeth he had made Jin want to wrap him in a blanket with a big cup of hot chocolate.
"What are you doing here?" It was Yoongi again and Jin was brought out of his admiration to the harsh reality.
He was still on the floor.
And his ass really hurt.
"Uhm, I'm from next door and I wanted to apologise for the construction work with some cooking..."
A few seconds passed in silence as both men eyed Jin curiously. Jin wasn't waiting around to be beaten up by his two hot neighbours so -with much effort- he used the chair as a levy to get himself up.
"I'll be going then. I left the cupcakes and the chicken hotpot on the table."
With that, Jin slowly rolled his shoulders, and hobbled out.
