After my small get away that morning, I came back just as we were about to leave.

We got to the airport at around one p.m. and got onto the plane. It took us about eight hours to get to Santa-Monica, in our new home.

"Finally," Emma muttered from the front seat.

I stretched up my neck from my awkward position I'd been sleeping in, for once in full agreement with my sister. Tyler, who had been driving, slowed down, signaled, and then turned around down the gravel driveway. All the driveways in Santa-Monica seemed to be gravel.

I unbuckled my seat belt and leaned forward between the front seats to get a better look. And there, right in front of me, was our new house. The first thing I noticed was that it looked exactly the same as in the pictures. It looked modern and it made me feel like I came from one of those rich families. The second thing I noticed was the pool. I had never even thought that I would have my own pool. The house definitely looked nice but disturbing at the same time.

We stepped in the house and it looked just as good on the inside. We had chosen our rooms before coming here so I knew where to go. Our bedrooms were all off one hallway except for my mother who slept in the master suite upstairs. I had my own bathroom which I was quite pleased about. It was already quite late so we all had something quick to eat and went to bed.
