Arian and I walked in with his two cousins following behind us and the guards on either side of us. A chandelier made of diamonds worth millions tightly hung above us, its sparkly reflection falling right onto us.

A slightly older man with curly brown hair walked up to us and pulled Arian into a hug. "Uncle Poseidon," Arian greeted with a slight smirk gracing his face. Oh Jesus, that jaw.

The man's eyes turned to me and he let out a hearty laugh. "Quite a naughty one you've caught here, son," he teased. "Yep, I'm not letting her go," he said, pulling me closer to him.

"It's nice meeting you, sir," I said politely albeit a bit nervously. What if this man dislikes me? The others will definitely take this man's reaction towards me into consideration and then stop liking me as well. "Oh nonsense, my love! Call me Poseidon or Don in short. It's lovely to meet you," he said with a warm smile.

We followed him into his huge house as I looked around in awe. Poseidon's son Raven was getting married this week and we're here as guests. I'm kind of hoping that this would serve as a perfect distraction to borrow the sword of valour.

A soft giggle was heard as a young man and woman walked in with their arms around each other much like Arian and I. "Ah, Alaska, meet me son Raven and his lovely fiancé Summer." The girl came up to me and stretched out her hand politely while Raven and Arian did this bro hug thing.

Summer's the definition of a bright sunny day. I feel like a dry autumn night in comparison to her. Hearing my thoughts Arian rolled his eyes and threw me a warning look. I giggled and introduced myself to the duo. "Alaska, I'd like you to meet my sister Elle. If you guys need anything, please feel free to ask her."

My eyes landed on a brunette beside Summer. Now she looked like a brewing storm but of course Avian had to cough because he found her hot. "The name's Elle, your highness," she said to Arian while her eyes took a little detour to the rest of his body.

Arian cleared his throat. "It's nice to meet the woman managing this whole wedding. This is my mate, Alaska," Arian said with pride. I looked at him and my anger dissipated. The girl in front of me scowled and shook my hand begrudgingly.

"Hi, I'm Jamie. Let me show you guys to your rooms," a girl dressed in a lavender jumpsuit walked up to us with a smile. She had beautiful honey streaked hair with chocolaty eyes and rosy lips. We introduced ourselves to her and then followed her up the helical stairway.

The walls were a dark grey colour and the red carpet that covered every inch of the stairs contrasted well with it. Avian tried slipping in a few flirty comments every now and then but they were all in vain when she announced that she was in love with another man.

"The boys and I are going out for a drink. I'll see you in a while," Arian planted a soft kiss on my forehead and left with his cousins by his side. "Let me take you in," Jamie offered. I smiled at her and walked into the room that Arian and I would be sharing.

"Would this guy that you are in love with happen to be Raven?" I asked. I saw the way she looked at him before. It was the same way that Noah would look at me. Hopelessly in love yet happy. A slight blush took over her features before she turned away to look at the picturesque view that the balcony offered.

"Please, no one can know," she sighed sadly.

I squeezed her hand lightly. "He'll only be happy with his mate. One day, you're going to find someone that will make you the happiest woman alive. Until then, just hang in there," I said softly. She looked at me and smiled. "You don't love him, do you?" She asked. Her question took me aback for a moment but my hesitation is what surprised me.
