My Unstable Mate

Chapter 5

Arizona POV

A couple days after the meeting, the parents in the pack decided to keep their children at home until the close is clear. So that meant a couple weeks we was homeschooled, while the parents tell the school we caught the flu. Even my dad made me stay at home.

I do not think I want to ask to stay home from any trips. After staying home for a couple weeks is torture. Especially when you can not go outside and shift. My wolf, Ariella is getting antsy and irritating. I swear if I do not go outside and shift, I think she will do it for me.

'LET ME GO OUTSIDE YOU STUPID HUMAN!' Ariella said growling.

'You know you can not go outside. The Hunters might be sneaking around. We could shift in my room.'

'No! I want to go outside! If I see a hunter I will slash their throats for making this happen! NOW LET ME GO!'

I groaned in pain when Ariella yelled in my head. The other pack members are fine with shifting inside, but my wolf has to be too damn difficult, but I need to speak to my father with this.

I walked to his office and knocked and waited to hear his voice say, "Come in."

I walked in and saw him at his desk doing pack work. "Dad, I need to go outside." I said with my hands on his desk.

"No. You can not go outside, the hunters-"

"I do not care about the hunters! Let me go outside! Now!" Ariella said taking over and growled at my dad. I closed my mouth with wide eyes. I am in serious trouble.

"Ariella, watch your tone. I am your father and you will quiet down." Ariella whimpered when our dads wolf came out. I instantly gained control back.

"We are sorry father, but she is getting restless. We need to go outside. It is not fair that everybody else get to go outside and not me." I said looking at my dad in anger.

My dad pinched the bridge of his nose before massaging his forehead. "They are not my daughter. You are the next Alpha. I need to make sure you are safe at all times, but fine. Only one hour-"

"Thank you!! I love you!" I said interrupting him and I gave him a kiss on the cheek and ran out the office to go outside. But I stopped when my dad linked me.

"One hour! With a guard!" I groaned, but complied. I went to the first guard that was outside and asked her to come with me on a run and she said "sure."

I shifted behind a tree and waited on her to shift and come next to me. "Do you want to race?" She said mind linking me while looking at me with her brown wolf. I nodded my wolf head and I started counting down.

"Ready? Set, GO!" We started running around the pack land and I finished last after a couple accidents.. Like not looking when I am going and I ran into a bush and tripping on logs. Did I mention that I am clumsy at times..

"That was fun. Let's do that some other time, Ryline." She nodded and I started walking to the tree that has my clothes.

I shifted and put my clothes back on and walked home. I opened the door and yelled out that I am home and looked around to see my father.

"How was the run? Did you go with a guard? Did something happen? Do I need to kill someone?" My dad said concerned.

"The run was good. I went with Ryline. Nothing happened and no, you do not need to kill someone." I said smiling.

My dad let out a breathe of air. "Good. I have some news. I told all of the parents and they are going to pass it down to their children and friends. The news is that their is no hunter activity. Things are quiet, at least for now, and I want to say is," My dad took a moment to breathe before continuing, "you can go back to school on Monday."

My eyes was wide and I jumped around in joy. Less days to spend in my room thinking about my horrible life and more time to be away from my annoying dad. "Thank you. Thank you." I said smiling and giving my dad a huge hug.

"Your welcome, I guess? I thought you do not like school." My dad said confused.

"I do hate school, but after a few weeks at home doing nothing and wallow in self-pity. It is good to get out the house for a while." I said shrugging. "I am going to my room. See you at dinner." I said waving at him and walking up the stairs to my room.

I jumped on the bed backwards and let out a laugh when I was bounced back up. My childish side is to blame.

I sighed when I stopped bouncing and thought about Jasper. I now that it seems like I am happy all of the time, but I can not stop thinking about Jasper.

Being away from your mate can make you think about them, yearn for them, and get emotional. Ariella is moody all the time, but it increases when she is not near our mate and I hate dealing with Ariella's moody self.

I can finally go back to school and see Jasper and make Ariella shut up her whines. 'Oh, stop being an ass Arizona. You know you love me.' Ariella said playfully growling.

I mentally laughed and said, 'yes, I love you and you love me. Now be happy that we are going to see mate tomorrow. That is if he wants to see us. I mean he did see us shift and murder two vampires.' I said with sadness taking over my features.

'Do not think about that. Be positive. If he chooses to ignore us, then I am going to take over and Kidnap him and keep him forever.' Ariella said wagging her tail with an evil look.

I rolled my eyes and prayed to the moon goddess that Ariella will not take over and scare Jasper even more then he might be, but I know that Ariella sounds like she is serious about this. And that makes me worried for Jasper.

'Lets hope that it never comes down to that.' I said chucking nervously. Ariella just rolled her eyes and cut off the link.

"Ariella, dinner." My dad told me in the link. "Coming." I said getting off the bed and walking to my bedroom door.
