Love is Sweeter the Second Time Around

Chapter 3

As soon as we step through those automatic doors into the mall, we immeadiately wish we had come here earlier. The walkway itself leaves you barley enough room to walk and the mall, well, don't even get me started on the mall. The shop windows are covered in Sale stickers, and there is a line of about twenty people at each shop. It is absolute chaos here!!

"I wonder why there's so many people here," Shay asks me.

"Um, Shay, girlfriend, you gotta get with the program!! Its V.I.P night which means (squeals) SALES!!

No matter how packed the mall is or how long the que is, I am not coming out of this place, without a new dress.

We rush into Macys and I find a goreous red sparkly dress. As soon as I try it on I fall in love with it. Even Shay admitts that it looks great on me. It also reveals some cleavage which I don't mind too much about. The dress itself has a square neckline and a triangle cut out just below the top of the dress. It is absolutely beautiful. I decided if Jace doesn't fall in love with me with this beauty on, no one will.

As we're purchasing the dress which came to a total of $200, Shay picks up a dress that she'd like to buy as well and it's almost the same as mine but more simple and less expensive.

We grab our gorgeous dresses and are about to walk out of the store, when we see Lexi walking towards us with her 'gang' behind her.

Lexi is highschool bitch and slut. She has slept with nearly all the boys in my year and made out with all of them. She has two best friends (although they're more her own personal sidekicks), Amity and Sienna. They are almost exactly like Lexi but the only difference is, they don't sleep with just any guy. They both have boyfriends and hot ones too. Lexi, Amity and Sienna are all extremely pretty girls and find it easy to hook up with guys. Lexi on the otherhand finds it eay to hook up with guys but then dump them for an even hotter guy. Thats basically Lexi's way of love.

Lexi and I have been enemies ever since birth, when our parents hated each other, so we decided we hated each other too. Lexi's won Miss America like ten times and is super popular at our school. Her parents are rich and wealthy, (unlike mine who are drunks and struggling to keep our family going). You could say Lexi is the most spoilt brat in the whole entire world, but she's not. She's much more than that. She is brattiest brat that ever walked this earth, and the sluttiest slut to ever come to our school. The boys love her, the girls worship her. But not me, no, not me ever!! Shay, Meika, Emma and I can't stand her.

She is strutting towards us wearing the shortest black leather mid rift top I have ever seen which just come below her bra. Her skirt is the definition of skanky as it just manages to cover a little bit below the top of her thighs. She has black stilettos on and as she comes near us I screw up my face and turn around. Uhh I cannot stand her!!

''Hello creeps,'' she snickers.

Before she can do anymore bickering about us we run. We run in the opposite direction to her and straight to the bus.

As soon as we get back to the dorms its 4:30 and the party doesn't kick off till 7:00, we've got plenty of time to get ready.

I rush into the showers and have a long, hot, soothing shower to make up for the one Ihad this morning. I thoroughly wash my hair and every bit of me from head to toe. I need to look as beautiful for this party as I can get.

When I step out of the shower, the cold hits me instantly and I am frozen on the spot. I grab my towel before it gets any colder and run to my room.

Shay is in there getting ready so I carefully put my sparkly red dress on and begin to straighten my hair. It takes a good hour before thats done and I begin my makeup. I apply a thin line of black eyeliner and some pink eye shadow.Then I grab the mascara and brush that on several times before applying foundation, I add some blush and lip gloss before smoothing down my dress and putting my favourite necklace on.

I take a few seconds to take in my reflection at the mirror. I actually look quite pretty. I put my red sparkly ear rings on and head over to Shay who gasps when she see's me.

''What?'' I look at her playfully.

''You-you look beautiful,'' she says.

''Nah, not as good as you're gonna look when I'm done doing your hair and make up.''?

By the time I do finish Shay's makeup its time to leave. She takes a second to admire her reflection before hugging me and walking us to the bus stop.

It takes a while to get to the party because it seems like there's traffic everywhere. It's 6:45 and I'm starting to get worried we're not going to make it on time. I thank Shay the whole ride telling her that she's such a good friend for deciding to go completely out of her comfort zone and joining in on the party. She decided she doesn't want to be the one cleaning up the vomit this time. She want too live the moment and party all night. This is going to be so much fun!
