Love is Sweeter the Second Time Around

Chapter 5

Jace walks a few paces ahead of me as we climb the stairs to my impending doom. As we reach the top step he looks at me for a second or two and puts his hands on my waist. He looks so beautiful. He looks into my eyes and I can see the glint of fear in his gorgeous green eyes. He pulls me to to him, with his hands still on my waist, and now there is about a 5cm gap between our bodies. Jace pulls me in for a tight hug, and rubs the small of my back.

I don't know why he is hugging me when he had the chance to just kiss me back then, I can't help but feel slightly disappointed.

As he takes a step back from me, he opens the door to a free room and motions for me to join him.

I walk inside and he locks the door. He puts his hands in his pockets and just stares at the floor for a few minutes. I begin to feel aggravated and annoyed at him. He brought me up for a reason, not to kiss me, so what the hell could he want!

I rub my hands together trying to get warm. I swear, if he doesn't open his mouth in the next minute, I'm leaving.

As I begin to walk to the door, his head jerks up and stares at me for a few seconds.

"Come here princess," he says with a smirk.

I walk over to him and sit on he bed angrily not wanting to put up with his cockiness at the moment.

He opens his arms out wide expecting me to run into them like the sucker I am. Sorry Mr.Player but its not happening, I smile to myself at the thought. He looks at me and I can see a tinge of hurt in his gorgeous green eyes... no. no. no. no!! Focus Nikki!! He needs to tell you something.

"Get to the goddamn point," I say extremely annoyed that he is not saying anything. As if on queue, he jumps up from the bed and walks out the door.

What.A.Grade.A.JERK!!!

Urghh why do us sappy little girls always have to fall for the bad buys who just like toying with girls hearts? There's plenty of better looking guys out there so why do we always have to fall into their traps and get our hearts beaten and crushed by them?

ITS NOT FAIR!!!

I walk up to the door and slam it shut leaving me in some random's bedrrom.

Great. (note the sarcasm)

All I want to do right now is kick Jace, that jerk, right in his goddamn balls.

And whack my head on the door for being such an idiot to think that Jace was actually ever going to tell me something.

Honestly, us girls can be so blind sometimes, its scary.

With a sigh I stalk back to the bed and look out the window.

You can't see much except for a couple practically sucking face at each other.

Ew. Ew. Eww!!

Why am I even looking at that!!

I rip the blinds over the window and fall onto the bed with an annoyed groan.

I can't stop thinking about the fact that Jace hugged me.

NO!! Nikki!! WAKE UP!!

Wait. Their expressions when I came in, their fear for me, what did it all mean??

I pulled at my hair angrily with all those thoughts stwimming in my head and slowly drifted off to sleep.
