Chapter 3: Red Kryptonite

*Lois pov:
Today was the day me and Clark were going to get to the bottom of this red kryptonite and see what effects it has on Superman. Oh Superman, if only he could have a normal life and didnt have to save everyone all the time things would be perfect. I thought about him everyday, about his dreamy face, his comforting smile, his scent. Everything about him was perfect enough. But then I also think about Clark at times. I can't shake the feeling that he and Superman have some of the same qualities. They look similar and have sort of the same tendencies. I further think about the possibility that Clark can indeed be Superman but secretly. I mean, that would explain his current disappearances. Hmm, maybe im too deep in thought because what are the odds of Clark being an undercover hero. He's to farmboyish for that.
Clarks Pov:
Well today is the day we look into red kryptonite. This is really risky because if I get infected by red kryptonite, this will increase Lois suspicions of me. If it comes to that, then I will eventually have to tell her the truth. I really care about her and friends should tell each other everything right? I slowly get of bed, brush my teeth and take long hot shower. After I got dressed I went to my car, and started driving to Lois's apartment. When I arrived she was already outside with a camera and a notebook in her hand ready for whatever we this red kryptonite had in stored for us. She looked awfully comfortable, with her baggy jeans and button up shirt. Somehow she still managed to look beautiful...
"Are you ready to investigate Clark?!"she says
"As ready as you are" I say as I give her a fake smile.
There was no way I was ready for the truth to unfold, and no telling what that red kryptonite will do to me.
Lois pov:
I cant wait for this investigation,this can be a huge story for us. Im glad Clark's just as excited as I am because we have a long day ahead of us.
"So Perry gave us a clue where you may find this red krptonite. He says it can be located in Smallway Park, you just have to look good enough to find it."I say trying to break the silence. He gives a slight nod to my announcement, then refocuses on the road. Now that I think about it, im noticing Clark's expression is off. Maybe he's just nervous? Only one way to find out.
"Hey Clark, are you feeling alright? You seem kind of nervous and spaced out" I say.
He responded,"Oh yeah Lois im fine, just a little worried about what this kryptonite can do. What if it can harm us?"
"I'm sure it wont Clark, you never know unless you try."
We arrive at the park*
We started looking around the park for 15 minutes and no sigh of red krptonite. Clark starts to get antsy and suggest we go back, but then I noticed a small tunnel. I decided we should go check it out. Deeper in the tunnel, I noticed a red glowy object straight ahead. I notified Clark that this could be the red kryptonite we were looking for.
Clarks pov:
Oh boy, am I sweating like a cow. I have never been near red krptonite so no telling what it will do to me.
Its not long until Lois tells me she can start to see the kryptonite. As we get closer to the kryptonite, I expect to feel something but I dont. Maybe red kryptonite doesnt have an effect on me after all. As we get to where it is, Lois cautiosly picks one up, then hands it to me. I hesitantly take the object and place it in my front pocket. After we get what we need, we start to head back to Lois apartment so we can discuss further plans on what this effect has on Superman. After a while, I start to not feel like myself anymore. I feel like a whole new person. I find myself feeling more and more attracted to Lois than ever before. I try to control it, but it seems to have taken over me.
Lois pov:
We finally got what we needed and left the park. We headed for my apartment, and I invited Clark in to discuss further action with this object.  I noticed Clark's sweating increased and he looked off. I decided to ask him whats up, when suddenly he grabs my hand and leads me to sit on the couch. I look worried, only because Clark's behavior was weird and I wanted to know what the heck happened to this farmboy.
"What has gotten into you Clark, youve been acting strange since yesterday and now today."I say
"Lois, I need to tell you something"he says
"Ok, spill the beans farmboy"I say
That's when suddenly he grabs my face and kisses me passionately, then lustfully. I am thrown off at the moment so I dont kiss him back immediately, but as the kiss slowed down. I break the kiss as my lips are swollen and burning, and my face is covered hint of red. Well this is certainly new. I am in shock because I would have never guessed farmboy Clark has had a crush on me. I dont know how to feel or what to feel so I ask Clark politely to leave. He leaves without a goodnight, and I shut the door. Oh boy am I angry, I cant belive what just happened! I am going to give smallville a piece of my mind when I see him next.
