Ch. 29 - In switching POVs

Devil Ham's POV

I couldn't feel anything. I just knew I had to obey. With Salvia's flashing red eyes, I could tell a new duty is coming. With a quick signal, she has sent an order over and without any question or resisting I found myself in Laurens' room with a piece of rope in my hands. Not knowing what is happening, I stopped in my tracks.

I heard Salvia's voice. It seemed like I was in a trance and before anything there was a lot of commotion and we're in the "Trial Room" as she calls it. The five girls plus Laurens were tied up and in waiting. I hate how I could only gain consciousness once in a while and I couldn't control what I do. I know a lot of people had been hurt by me. It was agaisnt my will to reside in new bodies all the time.

Laurens' POV

I watched in silence as Salvia hurts Eevie, Minji and Raichu, no one able to fight back. Nor could I. I kept trying to conjure something up, some plan perhaps, but I have never been good at those. I had always just been rash and acted without thinking. I often snapped at others before I understood what was going on.

I faced reality once again as Salvia asked Minji about some people who's names I couldn't pronounce. She looked uncomfortable. "Now's not the time to talk about them!" "I could send you to where you can see them every day!" And once again I couldn't hold it back. "Stop you insane- Just-" I stammered, thinking of my next line. "Don't- don't bring her back to virtual reality!"

Salvia laughed, turning to me. "Why would you just volunteer to go first?" She faced "Ham", the devil, and gave her a command. I had no idea how this even worked. She didn't say anything, only gave a quick signal, yet the devil always seemed to understand. But I also noticed that after every command her eyes flash dark red instead of the usual bright red. I was still thinking about this when I was again flashed back to reality with a quick slice of pain on my shoulder. I quickly realised what she was doing. I needed to think fast, but I couldn't even think.

Raichu's POV

Laurens was getting unconscious, Ham was screaming, a lot of stuff is happening. Of course I was scared.

But I had no time to fear. Not when Salvia was holding a gun to Laurens' mouth. Not when Ham was just screaming helplessly. I didn't know where my courage came from, I just yelled at Salvia. "Stop it. Stop!"

Of course it didn't work. What was I thinking? A loud shot was heard and I suddenly realised Salvia fired at Bendy. No! This couldn't be happening. No. I tried to control my tears but they just fell. I didn't have any will to fight back anymore as Salvia hit me.

Ham's POV

"No! Stop! You killed Bendy and hurt two of the people I care about most." She snapped back at me. "Well you useless soul! Just wandering around hopelessly. You'll be back! Time will tell! You'll remember..."

I watched as she sang and I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. Soon I couldn't stand it anymore. "Shut-"

Eevie finished my sentence. "-up. No Hamilton. Please."

Unfortunately everything we said made things worse. Salvia smiled. "Looks like you're choosing to get rid of Hamilton characters yourself!" Raising her gun again, she turned around and faced us. "Don't- don't hurt him." I said weakly.

"Devil! Come, hit her!" Salvia commanded. My vision blurred as I felt slashes on my shoulder and neck. I faintly hear Laurens say "Don't hurt her" next to me. And suddenly I had an idea.

"I'll... I'll kill myself!"

"What!?"

"Oh, she can," Salvia said, handing me the gun and untying my hands. I picked it up and used all my strength to aim at my body. There was a lot of pain in me. That's when I understood I may not be in my body but I still felt what it felt. Blood came out from the devil's mouth but she didn't stop.

"You idiot!" Salvia cried. I was out of energy and weakly allowed her to tie me on a pillar with Laurens by my side. The devil continued her striking.

Bendy's POV

I felt myself wake up. Two people shouted my name.

It hurt everywhere in me. I whispered "I believe evil people will get their punishment..." And a soft "farewell..." was my last word.

Minji's POV

Bendy closed his eyes. We all screamed. Raichu was crying quietly. Eevie was shouting at Salvia, which only got her a slap.

From the corner of my eye I saw Oti signal me. I attempted to reach for a bowl but my hands are tied (literally), which made Salvia notice. She turned to me. I screamed, which made her even more annoyed.

Eevie and Ham broke into chorus, which was actually another wrong move. Before I knew what happened, there was a quick jab on my head and suddenly I couldn't breath.

Raichu's POV

I was still crying as Minji stopped responding. Bendy's body was soaked in tears already. I stopped myself as Ham the devil slowly fell to the floor.

"End this all!" I shouted. "Then I shall kill you next." Salvia smiled.

"Oti, my legacy..." I whispered. She handed me my dagger. I broke out of my ropes and pushed it into my shoulder. I couldn't take it any longer. And it was all quiet.

Laurens' POV (again)

One by one, Salvia did want to kill us all.

"Heartbroken." Salvia sighed dramatically. She turned to Ham. "And you, soul, want to die with your Romeo? Should I call you Juliet?" She said mockingly. I sighed. She looked at me. "Oh right, I'll have to give you a second death!" She raised her gun.

The last thing I heard was a deafening gunshot.

Ham's POV

I could feel Laurens sink into unconsciousness beside me. Salvia lit the pillar in flames.

I didn't even have the strength to cry out. So I waited as I watched my vision get covered by a sea of red.

Eevie's POV

Oti attacked Salvia as the fires were the last things seen around the pillar. She defended herself and I watched as the dagger sliced through Oti's heart. But Salvia was also wounded and was spitting out blood.

"You forgot about me, huh?" I smiled at her.

"I hope that you burn, Salvia!" I said, kicking down a small pile of burning hay. There was a very loud explosion. And I was content knowing Salvia has gotten what she deserved.

"...I hope that you burn..."

The end! I hope you enjoyed it! Original idea and story all from evie_pika my friend and sworn enemy. The switching POVs were really fun to write, and so were the death scenes! I didn't really know how to describe death but I guess this will do ;)
