After I waited ten minutes for Zoey to get some snacks, I started to get worried. After I asked the nurse if she'd seen Zoey and she said no, I started to get very worried. I tried to call her cellphone, but it went straight to voicemail. I painfully sat up to a sitting position on the edge of the bed, and tried over and over again to stand through the pain.
I finally got myself to my feet, and started to walk painfully towards the door. As I reached the door a nurse I'd never seen before came in to check on me and looked at me horrified.
"What are you doing out of bed!" The nurse yelled.
"Going to find my girlfriend," I said.
"Whose your girlfriend?" The women asks, "i'll go find her for you."
"Her name is Zoey. Zoey Prescott."
"Wait didn't her mother-"
"Yeah," I said quickly, "she died."
"I did see your girlfriend then. She looks so much like her mother that I thought her mother had risen from the grave." The women said while laughing.
"Where did you see her!" I said impatiently.
"She was carried out by a young man," the nurse said.
"What!" I say, "it must have been Randy!"
"Now get to bed."
"No! I have to go find Zoey!" I yelled as I pushed the nurse out the way, making her fall backwards. As I left the room I heard her hit the ground, then her footsteps started to run towards the front.
I walked out of the hospital doors into the cold air. I felt myself gain strength as I though of what Randy would do to Zoey.
"I'm coming Zoe," I said quietly to myself.
