Tord sighed soundlessly and swung his feet out of bed. The short teenager got dressed slowly in a pastel turtleneck and jeans.
"Tord! Hurry up! You'll be late for the bus!" His sister, Tori, called from downstairs. Tord gave another soundless sigh and shouldered his bag, running down the stairs.
His sister walked up to him, smiling and giving him a hug.
"Bye bro."
Tord smiled at Tori and started signing in ASL.
Have a good day, Tori.
He used the T sign to signify her name.
Tori smiled and ruffled his hair. Tord pouted and fixed his hair.
Exiting the house, Tord ran to his bus stop, panting.
Damn, he was out of shape.
Pulling a bag of pretzels out of his bag, Tord started to eat them.
The fucking schoolbus arrived just as he sat down.
Damn it all.
