Mr. D

"We can't send him home, Chiron." I was on my wit's end, trying to keep Percy here even though legally were supposed to send him home.

"Dionysus, it's the law." The centaur was stubborn, though. Always has been. "Zeus already isn't happy that he's here in the first place. What do you want to tell him?"

"Anything," I responded, knowing Zeus was on his way because of this. "Chiron, he can't go home. He was in tears yesterday because of what happened."

Zeus showed up. Hades was here, too. Poseidon opted out of coming.

"So he's here?" Zeus asked me once we all sat down. "Without his parents consent or knowledge?"

"That is correct." Chiron wasn't happy with me, but it's fine. He'll get over it.

"I want him out and with his parents."

"We can call him-"

"No," I interrupted him, because Chiron didn't know what happened. He wasn't there. He was on the phone with Sally. He wanted Percy home, too. "He stays."

"Why?"

"Because I have reason to believe that it's not safe for him at home." I responded simply enough. "Between Percy's word and what Nico showed me last night, he's no longer safe with his parents."

Percy

I didn't want to wake up to a god knocking on my door. But I didn't anyways.

At least it was Hades. It was better than other gods.

I let him in, though.

"Did I wake you?" Hades asked and I nodded my head in response. "Sorry, I just figured you were awake being breakfast is over."

"It's fine," I insisted. "Why are you here?"

"Zeus and I met with Mr. D and Chiron just now," I almost forgot about that meeting, but it's not like I had to go. "Of course, Zeus and Chiron are bent on sending you home, but Mr. D won't budge. He didn't tell us what happened, but I'm going to safely assume s few things based on hour appearance with what happened. We agreed that we can send you to stay with somebody else. Somebody of your choosing."

"And you're here because....?"

"Because due to the situation," he finished off explaining. "we considered the possibility that you'd like to be with somebody that night have died. Somebody you felt safe with. We're trying to get you into a safe environment, Percy. One where not everyone hates you or then their back to you. Does that make sense?"

I nodded my head. I didn't think gods could care that much. I mean, I knew Mr. d was serious when it came to Campers safety. But damn. This is extensive.

"So, who would you like to stay with?"

"Well uh..." I felt kind of doubtful about this just because Hades is a god. "I highly doubt you're going to agree to it."

"Percy, the only person off limits right now are your parents." He insisted. "The rule is that you stay away from camp and from your family until further notice. You can still keep in contact with people. Just physically stay away."

"So who is it?" Hades asked me.

I kind of looked down but I mean I was being honest. When he was around I felt safe, even if he was like my enemy in the summer, and I knew he cared because he would call and stop in and he was there for me when my mom stopped being there.

"Luke..."

He let off a half smile.

"I'll see what I can manage about that," he told me. "Stay safe, Jackson. Stay safe."
