After answering the last item and passing my paper to the proctor, I can finally breathe. After few sleepless nights and bloody exams I can finally release a huge sigh of relief. Thankfully, most of the things I studied appeared so I don't have to think much about it. I felt my stomach growl because of hunger so I decided to go to the cafeteria.
It seems like the others are not done yet, more like I finished first. I was eating alone when you suddenly came and sat with me. My brows furrowed in confusion.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"Because I'm starving?" you answered. I just rolled my eyes.
"Don't get smart with me woman. I mean out of all the empty seats, why here?"
"No reason and I just want to. Besides, you're the first person I saw. I was supposed to eat with my friends but they're busy," you replied and started to eat.
We were quickly engulfed by silence, a comfortable one. My eyes unconsciously went to you. This time I was able to take a better look on your face. Your eye bags are not that dark anymore and I noticed you're wearing a little bit of make up.
"You're pretty," my eyes widened when I realized that I accidentally blurted it out, loud enough for you to hear.
You were flustered that you almost spit your drink on me but quickly regained your composure. You looked at me and smiled cheekily. "I know."
I thought we would be awkward but your response made me crack into laugh which you joined later.
