"Lillie sweetie. Your Father and I need to talk to you. Get ready and come meet us downstairs." My mom yells.
I pull my hair up and throw on jeans and a flannel and call it good. I walk downstairs to see them with their suitcases in hand.
"Your Father and I are trusting you to behave. Our work has given us a case to do that requires us to be gone these next few months. We will be back by August for your birthday. We are trusting you with the house till then. Our plane is leaving at 10. Bye. We love you." Mom says walking out.
"I love you guys too!!" I yell.
I shut the door and let out a sigh. This will make my decision harder. They're finally trusting me. Wow. Never thought I would see the day they would trust me. Especially after the time I had Jimmy and the guys over for a sleepover and my parents came home earlier than expected. I was in some deep shit. Well. Since I'm dressed I can go to work early. I work at a music store. I also give private drum lessons. I'm amazing at the drums. I feel like a dork so I don't talk about. Oh yea. Another things they guys don't know about. I've been working since sophomore year so I can have enough money to move away with. I make $200 a private lesson. I have a small fortune because of that.
*skipping the drive to work*
Bell from door dings.
"Hi welcome to The Guitar Center." I say for the thousandth time of my life. I go back to the computer trying to find a song to play.
"I'm looking for a guitar for my son."
I look up to see Mr.Haner, Brian's Dad standing there.
"Hey Mr.Haner. I know exactly what he wants." I laugh.
I walk with him to the guitar Brian has been eyeing.
"Since when have you worked here?" He raises an eyebrow.
"Just started." I smile.
"Oh okay. The guys will be bothering you for free equipment." He laughs.
"I can start it off by giving you my employee discount for this." I smile. I grab the black and white stripped guitar.
"Aww. Thanks Lil." He hugs me.
"Let's go ring it up. I bet Bri can't wait to use it."
I ring up the guitar and wave Mr.Haner goodbye. So. I lied to my best friends Dad. I hate living like this. Once I move it'll be okay.
*front door bell rings*
"Hi welcome to Guitar Center." I say. I start doodling on my notepad.
"Um, how much are drum lessons?"
"$200...Hi Jimmy!" I yell running to him.
"So. I heard you just started working here. Why didn't you tell me?" He questions.
"I wanted it to be a suprise." I giggle walking to the store phone.
"I need Rachal to work the desk."
"What's that for?" He asks.
