Prologue

Here is a glimpse of the past before I tell you how the encounter changed my life completely.

It was a normal day in June, the sun crept over the jungle trees, and the flaming skeletons sunk into bundles of lifeless bones. "Bright and early..." I smirked, looking up from my crimson-sheet bed. I was just about to go hunting for a growling belly that I had, when I spotted a mine, and acknowledged its presence. I placed a torch in the entrance to remind myself to later explore the darkness ahead. I noticed sand pyramids in the small ponds near my home, but I simply thought it was just a strange wind blowing the particles about. But, there was no animals in the premises. I was beginning to get concerned, and now noticed that my hunting day was soon ruined.

I settled for some bread and cocoa beans, still a bit bummed about not having any steamy chicken on my plate. I threw the crumby stacks onto the crafting table, and began to sculpt my breakfast. After I heated it a bit in the furnace, I snacked wishing it was a piece of mouth watering meat. The sun began to rise a bit more, and I thought it was a good time to make some torches, and venture into the cave. I lit up the torches, with the leftover charcoal in the furnace, and walked outside, grabbing my iron boots on the way. I slipped them on my rectangular feet, and skipped about, excited for the new batches of coal and gold coming my way. I had extremely low expectations for the blue gemstone that everybody wishes to own, but I thought the entrance was deep enough to maybe lead to the dream ore.
