Hailey's POV

"Excuse me, young lady!" My teacher sarcastically said standing by my desk," you aren't allowed to smoke in class. I think you are aware of that?".

I let out a puff of smoke and said, "Yes, Mrs. Tomlinson. I'm aware of that. So?" completely unhinged by her glare.

I was perfectly aware of the fact that we were not allowed to smoke in campus let alone classrooms. But who cares?

"So? Well, either you will put that thing away or get out of my class. And you have one week of detention after school. Next time I see you doing this" she said pointing towards the cigarette,"I will take you to the principle." She walked away.

I happily stood up from my desk which was at the back of the class by the large window and walked out of the class, flicking the cigarette in the bin on my way out.

Well, you might think what kind of a student do that! I do. I love to break rules.

I went to the basketball court and played a ball around to pass the time . I liked playing along and I loved basketball. I hate components. It's not like I'm scared of losing. I just don't like someone else daring to play in my court. Neither with ms, nor against me. I'm the fucking queen of my own goddamned kingdom.

It was 3 pm and I was heading towards my detention class when everyone was going home. My usual routine, duh!

There were three students in the class. The teacher took our detention slips and left the classroom after an hour. Usual. Check.

I sat there for the next five minutes to check if he comes back. Check.

He didn't. Check.

Neh! The day is no surprise, as boring as always. I need some spice in life.

I left the class, got on my bike and left the campus.

I went to the Con-City, a retarted part of the Atlantic city, the heart of the crime industry. Leo's Bar was my destination. It was a fighter's club, bmy one of the most favourite places. I didn't fight. I just enjoyed the fights. It was already evening when I reached there. The first fight of that day had already started. I didn't recognize any of the fighters. But one of them was quite amazing.  He was wearing a mask.

Very mischievous!

Fight was exciting. People were cheering for the other fighter. But I felt like the one with mask would win the fight. And he did! He fought like he was born with it. Amazing!

At midnight I went to my action field .

Racers Valley.

If there was anyplace where I felt my bloodlust, it was on those tracks. I felt alive and free. Money wasn't my game, I raced for life.

Gearinh up my bike I waited at the starting line  for the signal. As the gun was shot I sped up, letting the bike and adrenaline take control of me . I could feel every single drop of blood rushing through veins, with every beat my heart sped up.

About ten longest minutes had passed. And I was about to touch the finishing line first, like I did since I was 14.

But I didn't. Someone else did.

Someone new.

I couldn't believe myself. A new racer beat me at his very first match!

It was impossible for fuck's sake!

But he did!

How?

I wanted to see his goddamned face. But he didn't take of his helmet. He just walked out of the valley as soon as the race finished.

I went home at about 3 in the morning.

The house was as quiet and dark as possible. I ate some leftover dinner from the fridge and went to my room. I was a little disheartened. But that was nothing new, was it?

Like anyone would care where the hell I'm? Why do I keep expecting?

********

Next morning I was late for my first period. Because my mother decided to "care for me" .

As I was leaving the kitchen with my to-go-breakfast mother scolded me for skipping detention. Again.

"Hailey! Wait. Did you skipped your detention again yesterday?"

"For fuck's sake! I didn't skip it. I attended it and left that shithole after about one hour. It's not called skipping it! And it was boring the shit out my head, " I said rolling my eyes.

"Are you kidding me? I have let you do whatever you wish! You just have follow a few rules of school just so you can graduate high school. But you don't even care about it. You're still going to that school just because of my money and power. Can't you be the least bit of grateful? ! If I receive any more calls from your school about skipping classes or detention, it'll be your last day in this house. Understood?"

"Whatever!" I said rolling my eyes.

I reached school ten minutes late and walked in to the class. Either way I would have received a determination. So what's the point of asking for permission and acting like I care?

There wouldn't be anyone happier if I could skip this class or even skip school and drink my ass off somewhere at the cliff. But I had to attend the class to my mother's will. Screw her!

"Ms. Brown! When are you going to change your habit of being late and barging in the class without my consent? Detention at lunch since you might already have one after school. Ain't I right?" She smirked.

You nasty piece of a bitch! You're so going to pay for it.

When I went to my desk, my designated one which was at the back of the class beside the large window, it was occupied by someone else.

Someone new for fuck's sake!

No one ever dared to sit there!

Who the hell he?
