The teens were laughing at Diaval's jokes.
"Mal, Deveral was turned to stone on Maleficent's castle-"
Mal interrupted Evie. "No! Everyone thinks that! My Mum was misunderstood! Some fairy folks who hated my Mum went around and said that my Mum took over King Stephan's castle after Aurora was cursed and that a handsome prince saved her. My Mum turned into a big dragon apparently but no. My Mum saved Aurora with a kiss on her forehead and she turned my Dad into a dragon to save her from chains which burn fairies because metal and she got her wings back. On both stories, King Stephan will be dead because of age. King Stephan cut off her wings for power!" Mal shouted.
"Calm down, Malsy." Diaval kissed the top of her head.
"No! Mum is so misunderstood! Deveral left her but being lonely isn't the thing for him and Deveral and Mum are happy together." Mal started to cry. "It isn't fair."
"Mal..." Jay hugged her.
"My Mum's a hero, not a mother******* monster who tried to kill a prince!" Mal hugged him back.
"It's fine, fairy. Your voice will be heard one day." Diaval stroked her hair.
"Can't I love with you? We can run away to the Forbidden Fortress. We can live happily on the Isle of the Doomed." Mal looked at her Dad.
Diaval got down on one knee and held her hands. "Mal, you need your friends. I really wish you could but I can't let you."
"Please." Mal pleaded.
"I'm sorry, dove-bird." Diaval hugged her.
"Let's drop the subject." Carlos grabbed Mal's arm. The teens carried on walking until they arrived at the markets. Diaval smiled at the Isle.
"It's been ages since I've seen the market." Diaval looked at Mal. "What should we steal first?"
"You don't think when you steal." Jay walked over to a woman and took her scarf. "It just happens."
"Jay is the master of stealing." Carlos told Diaval.
"I'm the master of fighting." Diaval said proudly.
"Really, Dad?" Mal ripped his shirt a bit so everyone could see his six pack and scars. "Likely story."
"People don't like birds, Mal. People...don't like me." He looked away.
Mal squeezed him tightly. "I like you."
"You're my daughter."
"Daughters can hate their Dads."
"True." Diaval took a shirt from the stall behind him and he put it on.
"Mal! Evie!" Maddy ran up to them. "Me and some other girls are having a sleepover at my place. Wanna come?"
"Why are we invited?" Evie asked.
"Because we like how you stood up to Harry Hook yesterday." Maddy smiled. "And all sleepovers have to happen on a Friday or a Saturday."
"Who else is going?" Mal smiled back.
"Ginny, Claudine and Freddie." Maddy grabbed their hands. "Please!"
"Fine. We'll come." Mal sighed. Maddy squealed and ran away.
"Do you do sleepovers often?" Diaval asked Mal.
