21.) Summertine Sadness

//not edited , also for those of you that are sticklers for the small details , there are some parts in here that don't follow the story line of Harry Potter , however I made some small tweaks to accommodate this story so please don't chew me out in the comments 🙏🏼

It had been a week since the end of your first year at Hogwarts . Since then you haven't heard anything from Draco. Much less Alister . It's as if they went silent .  It confused you to say the least . You'd expect a letter or an owl from them to say the least , you'd send out 7 letters to each of them . One everyday of the week.

Now you had just given up seeing as it was redundant. They hadn't replied so sending letters would just make you look foolish.  You huffed as you blew out a piece of hair that was obscuring your vision of you plain white bedroom ceiling. You hadn't been doing much. Just lying in your bed for the past week having a staring contest with you ceiling.

Leaving the bedroom window open in case of a surprise appearance by Onyx Draco's messenger owl or Jinx Alister's messenger owl. But as per usual not a single owl came.

You sighed irritably as you got up from your bed to close your window . This was not how you excepted your summer to start off.  However all hope wasn't lost as next week you'd be spending 2 weeks at the Malfoy manner.

Your parents would be off carrying out business for the ministry so the Malfoy's agreed to take care of you. Your parents agreed without a second thought . You tussled your hair. You needed something to get rid of this boredom that had perched itself of your shoulders.

You perked up as a thought came to your mind. A visit to Hogsmeade? Why not ? You got up and threw on a simple black jumper and black jeans slipping on matching pair of black jeans . Slipping your wand into your back pocket you heading down the winding staircase of your impressive mansion.

Your mother was sitting in the dining room , sipping tea while writing in what appeared to be a book. It was leathery or suede material. Nothing unusual that  is until you walked passed her to see all the words she wrote in the notebook disappeared seconds after writing them.

Brushing it off as some odd trinket the ministry had her inspecting you just continued walking to the living room fireplace .

"I'll be heading out to Hogsmeade !" You called out to your mother as you grabbed a handful of the floo powder that was sitting in a silver container atop the fireplace .

"Be careful and be back within two hours. No later !" She called back , still engrossed in that book filled with parchment.

Throwing the floo powder into the fireplace you called " Hogsmeade!" In the blink of an eye , as well as feeling a tad bit winded you were greeted by the smell of food and the chattering of people . Looking around you , you were standing in a very welcoming crowd of people as they passed by you.

You walked , looking at the shops surrounding you . There were jewelry shops , clothing shops , wand accessory shops, and other shops of the like . You hadn't any money with you but that could be easily fixed . Muttering a few words and with the flick of your wand your bag that you had left at home was now at home . Inside you had 200 galleons . (Aprrox 200$ just me making this up don't kill me those of you who are very particular about details.)

More than enough pocket money for spending. Seeing as nor Draco or Alister had enough time to send you a letter , you'd just treat yourself today. You continued your walk down the winding streets of Hogsmeade .  Little shops and restaurants on either side of you.

All of which were very inviting . Hogsmeade was a very popular place and you were surprised you hadn't run into anyone from Hogwarts yet . That is till you walked into a very welcoming books shop.
