17.) Friendly Rivarly

Christmas break is finally over and for once in a long time you and Draco are on good terms . It feels good to not feel depressed or bothered around Draco. Ever since Christmas you and Draco have been playing as you used to . Pranks, Jokes and all sorts of trickery.

Now it's time for you and Draco to head back to Hogwarts . You are a little concerned . Well that's a lie , you were greatly concerned. Ever since you and Draco got on good terms , you two haven't talked about Alister.

Of course you aren't just going to abandon Al, I mean he was your Oak tree. You could always depend and lean on him. Al the Great Oak . You can never abandon you precious tree. It just wouldn't be right.

Hopefully Draco and Al can find a way to coexist. They aren't fond of each other to say the least. As of currently you are with the Malfoy's as they send you and Draco off to Hogwarts. This time your parents couldn't come along because of business at the ministry .

You carried your trunk along the Hogwarts express along side Draco. After quick hugs and short good byes , the Malfoy's sent you and Draco off . Once the Malfoy's left , you and Draco got on the train which was bustling with students .

All the carts left and right were full , or either half full with non pure bloods and knowing Draco , he is not sitting with some "horrid" half bloods or muggle borns.

All carts were full except for a cart towards the very back of train. It had one person in it. Alister . You gave the cart a slight knock.

"Knock Knock!" You Chime

"Who's there?" Alister answered

"Your favorite person" you replied

"Whom might that be ?" He chuckled

"None other than the glorious y/n and her partner in crime Draco !" You laughed entering the cart.

"Since when am I , your partner in crime ?" Draco muttered .

After everyone got situated with you sitting in between Draco and Al the room got a bit tense . It was extremely awkward to say the least .

You tried to break the ice , "Hey Al, how was your break?"

"It was decent , how was yours ?" He asked

"Mine was nothing special , Draco and I got on good terms though ." You say happily . Draco grunted as you said this .

"I can see that." Al said with a slight tone of displeasure in his voice .

You just ignored that , and decided to give up on starting conversation. But before that you said one last thing to Al.

You leaned over into his ear. Ever since you and Draco got into that fight you and Al got close . Close enough to the point where getting into each other's space wasn't an issue. You lean into Al as you whisper in his ear .

"Meet me in the Slytherin common room at 12 tonight I want to give you , your Christmas gift ." You smile at Al . While he gives you a simple nod.

Draco watched infuriated as you leaned in so close to Al. How come you leaned into Al? Why couldn't it be be him? Was there some sort of secret between you and Al that he didn't know about ?

Draco not realizing that he was jealous grabbed a hold of your wrist that was closest to him and he tugged you over to him.

While doing so muttering in an annoyed tone "you know there's tons of space in this cart , no need to invade dear Alisters"

You take a moment to process what just happened before replying back to Draco. "I was just telling him something ."

Alister REALLY didn't like Draco tugging you away from him and he decided that he was not just going to let Draco take you away .

Alister grabs your wrist and tugs you back towards him. "If she would rather be leaning on me I have no problem with it WHAT so EVER." He growled though clenched teeth. While you just sat there in a daze trying to make sense of the situation at hand.

Draco didn't like this reaction from Alister and tugged you back towards him. "MY ,My Alister you don't have to be so KIND she can lay on me so that she doesn't BURDEN YOU." Draco hissed back.

This back and forth tug of war of you needed to end as by the minute you were growing more and more annoyed . Draco and Alister where is the midst of pulling your arms out of their sockets and this is where you decide to intervene.

"IF YOU TWO GITS DONT LET GO OF ME THIS MINUTE , GOD FORBID I DONT CURSE YOU MYSELF!!" You shout as you snatch your arms out of their grasps and stomp up and out of that cart .

Before doing so you turn around to say one last thing. "By the time I come back you two better of found a way to coexist or otherwise you'll be begging to Merlin I don't curse you!"

With a little flip of the hair and a 'hmph' you walk out of that cart and head towards the front of the train.

You find a nice spot to stand and look out the window , you do this for a good 3 minutes before you get a familiar feeling of being watched.

You turn around to see none other than Potter and his goons looking your way. Your roll you eyes before turning back to look out the window. The view was rather nice until approaching footsteps ruined it .

Your turn your head to see none other than Potter standing next to you.

"Nice view isn't it ?" He says

"Eh , it alright" you reply with noticeable irritation in your voice .

"The view is more than alright" He says , you roll your eyes but in the peripheral of your vision you catch something. Potter wasn't looking out the window . He was looking at you.

This caught you off guard and you jump a bit as crimson blush makes the apples of your cheeks shine a true red.

"S-Stop staring at me freak!!" You stutter as you retreat back to the cart you shared with Alister and Draco. Once entering the cart you see Al and Draco giving each other death glares but they stop with wide eyes as they look at your flustered face .

"What the matter y/n??" Al asked concerned

"You look like tomato !!" Draco laughed as he pointed his finger at you.

You just blushed more and let your bangs cover your eyes . "Potter said something strange to me" you said before taking your seat.

This caught Draco and Alister off guard now both of them where green with envy . Potter's gonna pay for this .
