This one's gonna be longer, sorry.

The girl slid off of the window seal she'd been sitting on, watching the rain come down harder until now when it started to pour. She grabbed a hoodie and told her mom. "I'm going for a walk, I'll be back later." Before opening the door and leaving without listening to her mother's disagreement. She started to run away so that her mother didn't catch up to her.

She decided she'd gone far enough when she faced the park that was a mile away. It was pouring even harder as she walked over to the playground and sat on the swing.

Five minutes later she turned her head to face behind her because she heard footsteps. She saw a boy her age walking towards the swing sets. Her eyes followed him as he sat on the swing next to her. He then spoke. "My names Elliott Bane, what's yours?" "Artemis Lilac." The girl replied. He smiled sadly at her and then asked another question. "Artemis, why are you crying?" The girl looked at him, eyes widened as tears kept sliding off her cheeks. She then gave him a fake,  reassuring smile. "I'm not, it's just the rain. Elliott, why are you crying?" His smile dropped as he looked forward. "I'm not, my eyes are sweating."

The girl reached her hand out and took his after a minute or two of silence. "Why don't our eyes sweat together as we look at a beautiful place. I heard someone special lives their." Elliott looked at her knowing what she meant and smiled happily. "That sound's like fun. I wanna go there too." They both nodded and walked away from the swing set to a waterfall at the end of the woods, hand in hand still.

Once they got their they took in the beautiful scene and sound of the running water. Elliot and Artemis looked at each other in an agreement. "Let's go live with that special someone." They smiled and jumped over together, still holding hands, as their lives flashed before their eyes. "Goodbye." They both said before bracing for impact.

One hour later two mothers were frantically running around the town searching for their children. At some point they ran into each other. "Hello ma'am," Miss Lilac said, her voice shaking. "My daughter left an hour ago and hasn't come home, have you seen her? She has brown hair, green eyes, she's 5'3, gray hoodie, black skinny jeans, and black sneakers." The other mother shook her head. "I'm sorry ma'am but I haven't seen her. But have you seen my son? He has blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'4, he has a red sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers." Miss Lilac shook her head. "Wait, was your acting weird before he left?" Miss Bane nodded her head and Miss Lilac's eyes widened. "I know where our children may be but have to run." Elliott's mother nodded and they started running off.

"Right here!" Artemis's mother yelled as they skidded to a stop. They had reached a 10 foot high waterfall with sharp rocks at the bottom. The two mothers peered over the freezing water to look at the murky pool it made at the bottom. Once they got a good look, Miss Bane screamed bloody murder as she saw what was down below, was horrifying. Miss Lilac just froze in shock.

"My baby boy..........." Miss Bane's voice died away and she started to weep. Soon after Miss Lilac, as well, started to cry. They held to each other like they were the last people on Earth, and to them in a way, they were.

For, at the bottom of the waterfall, on the sharp rocks, blood had splattered everywhere. It had made the water tinged with red. And, floating in the water, hand in hand and smiling, was two teenagers. They had fallen to the call of the devil and listened to his harshness. He reigned down sadness and depression, and that brought the scars. The scars that showed they tried their hardest to fight, but evidently, they lost. Satin had won over yet another pair of angels, who weren't strong enough.

A/n( I realized that this one is probably the saddest one I've done. And it's written nicely as well, weird. But I take full credit for I made this a on my own. I may or may not turn it to a book. But whoever starts to read this book and has made it this far, thanks! Welp, bye!
