I fell asleep next to his letter. I completely blew off homework but I didn't care. Someone actually cared for me and wrote me a letter. And it wasn't a sympathy letter... I don't want his sympathy I want his love. But because my body doesn't know what it's doing that can't happen.
The next day at school Ever, Rain and I were walking down the hall and I started to feel weak. I didn't say anything because I still didn't want his sympathy. As we approached our class room I collapsed. Ever and Rain called for an ambulance because I wasn't moving. When I came to, I was in the hospital. I had IVs hooked up to me and people surrounding me. At first I couldn't make out who was there but then I could see the kind young man with the raven hair and the girl who never left my side. "Hey sleeping beauty, how was your nap?" Ever asked doing that cute half smile. "H-how long was I asleep?" I could barely speak I was so tired. "Three hours, sweetie." Rain said pushing my hair out of my face. "I-is my mom here?" I was really weak and I just wanted my mother to be by my side. "Oh, um... She's busy-" she started. "Busy? What is she so busy with? Why can't she be here? This is so typical. She wants me to think she's always there for me but when it comes to my medical attention she could care less... I don't understand her." "She does care. She is just at work and can't be here. Why on earth would you say that she didn't care?" Ever sat down next to me. "For last past 3 hospital visits it's only been Rain here for me. I have to do my own paperwork in the hospital bed. I just don't understand. Why me?" I got out of bed and drug my IVs with me. "Where do you think you're going?" Ever blocked the door. "I'm going for a walk. If that's okay with you..." I pushed him out of the way. He lifted me up and sat me down on the bed. "No. It isn't. You stay here..." He said. "Fine."
The doctors kept an eye on me for a day and let me go. Ever and Rain came and got me when they said I could leave. It's funny how people who aren't even family are my only visitors.
