Gwen's pov

     Today was going to be great. My parents decided that they wanted to have another baby.But instead they chose to adopt. I am so excited for the new baby. My parents should be arriving home with him soon. I am an only child and I always wanted a baby brother. My parents discussed on a girl but I really wanted them to get a little boy. Anyway at last they settled for a baby boy. I was waiting patiently when I heard their car pull into the driveway. I eagerly went outside and when I opened the back door and help get the baby out. But instead of finding an adorable baby boy I just found a little girl about four or five. I was instantly disappointed. "Mom dad we talked about this " I said as I walked away leaving the child in the car. "Gwen grow up you're 19 years old acting worse than Mak" my mother replied angrily." Mak ? Whose Mack?!" "Her name is Makenzy. but she likes Mak" she said as she pointed towards the car.I just ran inside and locked the door to my room.I know it sounds immature but I wasnt ready for this.

    Mak's pov

My name is Makenzy but everyone calls me Mak and I like it. I have been living in this orphanage for about a year now. My mommy and daddy went to heaven when the bad man come and make them bleed. I was quietly laying on my bed playing with a piece of ribbon that I found on the floor earlier  when miss Hathaway walked through the door and said " Mak sweetheart come downstairs to meet your new mom and dad" Then I nervously walked down and saw a very pretty woman with a handsome man. The woman spoke first " Hi what's your name." "I'm Mak" I stated."Well I'm Linda and this is my husband Luke"she told me. I was a bit nervous but I said it anyway, "Can I call you guys mom and dad?" "Of course sweetie you can call us whatever you want," they both said in unison. "Well let's get you home,Mak" Luke said with a smile.We drove for about thirty minutes then arrived at a very large house they must be wealthy but I don't care about money.Suddenly some girl opened the door clearly not expecting to see me there and looked disappointed."Mom dad we talked about this" she hissed and ran off while mom scolded her to grow up and stop acting like a child. I asked mom, "Why doesn't she like me and who is she." "She is your sister Gwen and she is just upset don't worry about her" "Mom do you like me?" "Of course Mak I don't like you I love you already." I just had to smile, "Forever?" "Forever,babygirl." she said and hugged me.
