All the wolves stood around, whispering. Alice and Lilly were standing next to me, and I was happy to have my best friends next to me again.

"I always knew you were an alpha," Alice said as she smiled at me.

I laughed. "Oh come on, anybody could have done what I did," I replied.

Lilly shook her head. "I doubt that. I watched you leading the Dahlias in to save Michael. It was quite a sight to see. Plus, tonight, you'll kick the ass of any female who challenges you," she said with a wink.

I smiled and pulled them both into a hug. "I missed you guys so much," I said. "It killed me not being to talk to you guys."

They both patted my back and I looked over as Silver and Daniel approached, hand in hand, smiling, and eyes sparkling.

"Oh," I said and turned them both around to face Silver and Daniel. "And these are my other awesome friends. I know you guys know each other's names, but you've never properly gotten introduced. Alice, Lilly, this is Silver and Daniel, my other best friends. Silver, Daniel, this is Alice and Lilly, the best girls I have ever known... besides Silver."

Daniel extended his free to them and shook their hands, and Silver did the same. They all told each other it was nice to finally be introduced when Suddenly all the wolves fell quiet. I looked up and saw Michael standing in the bed of someone's truck, all looking at us. The five of us turned to face him, ready to listen. I couldn't help but smile when I realized his eyes fell upon me for a second.

"Alright, welcome to the long awaited ceremony. I am willing to remain alpha, and am willing to fight to keep this position. Is there anyone who challenges me?" he asked, looking over the crowd.

There was silence, and nobody stepped forward or made any kind of sound that they would like to fight Michael. I was going to tell him that I told him that nobody would want any other alpha besides him.

"Very well then," he said. His eyes landed on me once more and he smiled a little. "What about any alpha females?"

Alice nudged me and I raised my hand instantly. "I'm willing to fight to be alpha female," I announced.

People turned toward me and smiled. They stepped back, allowing me walk forward to the truck. Hell, I didn't walk... I fucking jogged. Michael helped me up into the bed and I stood beside him, looking around at the wolves. "Is there anyone who challenges her?" he asked.

Once again there was silence. I had already proven myself worthy of being alpha female. Michael smiled and went to say something, but then a voice piped up from the very back. "I challenge that bitch!" the voice called.

The crowd parted, and Sarah strutted over to the truck. I jumped down, annoyed. I thought she had run, but then I realized she wouldn't give up at trying to be top dog. She got in my face, blue eyes burning with challenge and rage. "I thought you chose to run?" I asked.

She shook her head. "I'm not a coward like your father," she spat.

I smiled. "No, you're not a coward. But you wanna known what else you're not?" I asked.

She crossed her arms over her chest. "What?" she asked.

I leaned in close to her, looking her eyes with the coldest look I could imagine. "An alpha," I replied.

Her face twisted into anger and she shoved me. The crowd stepped back and the fight would begin. I shoved her back twice as hard and as she stumbled, I dropped to the ground in my wolf form and charged her. She shifted too and charged me back.

I ducked low, and parted my jaws, closing them around her front leg and pulling up. She yelped as she fell to the ground, and I was on her instantly, growling at snapping at her. I clawed at her, but she kicked up at my stomach, trying to get me off.

She gave me one good kick, and managed to slip out from under me. I braced myself as she spun around to face me. She growled at me, saliva dripping from her fangs. I growled back and I felt Michael's eyes on me as he waited for something to happen just like the rest of the crowd.

Last chance, I thought towards Sarah. You can run, because I'm sure that this fight is to the death.

It is, she replied. And I'm not going to run. With that, she came at me, snarling loudly as her lips curled back from her fangs. Her eyes were filled with nothing but hatred and anger and pure rage.

I took that as an opportunity, and simply stpped out of the way. I hurled my body at her as she skidded to a stop in front of me, wheeling around and snapping at me.

I turned my body and parted my jaws, grabbed the back of her neck and biting down. She yelped and I bit down harder, feeling my fangs pierce skin and scrape against her bones. I didn't stop there though. I continued to bite down harder and harder, crushing her spine. She thrashed against me, I jerked my head to the side, and then there was a loud snap. She went limp, and I knew she was dead.

I let released my grip and her body fell to the ground in a heap of lifeless fur and blood. I shifted back to my human form and just stood there, staring at her as her body shifted back to human form. Daniel pushed through the crowd, and froze when he saw her. Then he looked up at me, shocked yet understanding. She had challenged me to a fight to the death, and had lost.

I turned and looked up at Michael. He nodded in approval and then he helped me up into the bed again. I looked out at the wolves again. They were offically my pack now, and now Michael was mine. All mine.

He smiled. "The new alpha female!!" he exclaimed.

Everyone erupted into cheers and whoops. They were totally fine with the death of a pack member; it was tradition, and Sarah had been a traitor, and they also knew that. She had only come back because she couldn't stand losing without fighting first. Then I realized she was almost like me with that. I refused to lose without giving one last fight first. I had a little bit of respect for her now.

Michael turned to me, and I snapped out of my thoughts. He put his hands on either side of my face and leaned in. I closed the distance, kissing him with all of my being. His hands slid down to my hips and he pulled me against him, kissing me with just as much passion.

Everyone kept cheering and when he pulled back, I was breathless. I smiled at him and rubbed my thump along his jaw. "When is this thing over?" I asked. "'Cause I'm ready for the celebration back at home."

He smiled too and laughed a little. "It gets over as soon as you want it too, love," he said.

My heart fluttered. "Then let's get this wrapped up so we can get to the celebrating."

He laughed. "Okay then," he said. He looked over at the crowd. "That's it for the ceremony. Now go home!"

I laughed, and then realized that the ceremony wasn't much of a ceremony. But I didn't care. Michael was mine, and I was his, and now I didn't have to worry about the things I had been worrying about ever since I had admitted to myself that I loved Michael.

"Now let's get out of here," he said, and then picked me up bridal style and climbed down from the truck bed and walked me over to his car. He set me down and opened the passenger for for me, I sat down, he closed the door for me, and then got in the driver's seat.

I couldn't help but ask, "This time can we go all the way?"

He just chuckled and looked at me, smiling. "Oh yes we can," he said.

I smiled as my heart began to beat out of control.
