Lena: I was finally happy. Spencer actually wanted me to be happy. I learned that not everyone used me because they could play with my feelings easily. Everyday I went to ATA and instantly started to smile because it was the one place that I felt safe at. Even though Spencer was popular at school but he couldn't stop all the bullying. I always knew that i would be safe when I got to ATA because Spencer was there to protect me. What happened on June 23rd was a surprise though. When I got to school usually I would get bulled but that day was different when I walked outside of my house Spencer was there waiting to walk with me. I felt happy because I knew that people wouldn't bully me if he was with me. What he did next was surprising though he got down on one knee and asked if I would go on a date with him. I had never been asked out before and thought that he must be joking but when I looked straight at him I could tell that he wasn't. I realized that he had been waiting long enough and decided to just say yes and on the rest of the way to school we walked hand in hand.
Spencer: she said yes I can't believe she said yes. She looked to be drifting away in her own thoughts for a while but then said yes. I knew her past was scary and I didn't want her to believe that I was just playing with her heart. When her hand grabbed mine I felt like she was beginning to trust me. When we got to school I felt all the stairs and glanced at Lena noticing that she was beginning to shake. I gave her hand a squeeze and felt her start to relax. I never want her to be afraid again. I'm gonna help her grow stronger
