Chapter Two-

The day dragged on for what seemed like forever. I was now slowly making my way to Mr. Matthews classroom for detention.

As I approached his door, I hesitated. As I turned around to walk away before I heard the husky voice that belonged to the one and only Mr. Matthews.

"My classroom is the other way Ms. Waters." he said leaning on to the doorframe. I could see every muscle through his thin blue shirt as he crossed his arms. It made my heart beat even faster as I stared into his blue eyes.

I broke eye contact and looked down at my feet, mentally telling my legs to agree with my brain an move forward.

"O-of course." I said taking shaky steps towards his room. Why was I so nervous around him?

Oh yeah, cause he looks like a sex god.

I could hear his footsteps behind me as I made my way towards the seat in front of his desk.

I sat there awkwardly before pulling out my favorite book "The Fault In Our Stars" and started reading.

Five minutes later I heard Mr. Matthews sigh and put his pen down.

"You know, usually people do work in detention." he said looking up at me.

"Oh, right. Sorry, I've never had detention before." I said in a small voice.

"I-I don't have any work to do." I said shifting awkwardly.

"Then why don't you come help me grade papers." he said softly.

I nodded and dragged my seat towards his desk.

"Here's the answer key." he said handing a paper to me, our hands brushing. I had to bite my lip to keep back the smile that was trying to slip it's way on to my face.

It was hard to focus on grading papers when someone who looks like Mr. Matthews was sitting in front of you.

"So Alaina." Mr. Matthews started.

"How old are you?" he asked.

"I'm 17." I answered looking up and making eye contact with him.

"How old are you Mr. Matthews?" I asked shyly.

"Ahh, curious aren't we?" he joked.

"I'm 23." he stated, smiling at me.

God, that smile was gorgeous. I swear I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Are you almost done grading those papers?" Mr. Matthews asked.

"Yeah." I said handing him back the papers and his pen, my hand shaking.

"You're free to go now." he said looking up at me and smiling.

I smiled and nodded before putting my seat back and grabbing my purse.

"See you tomorrow Alaina." Mr. Matthews said confidently.

"See you tomorrow." I said looking back and smiling before walking out of his room and going home.
