Chapter 1: Forbidden attraction

I sighed as I finally came to the island that I had been told about. Just like Ghira had told me this place was overrun with Faunas. I put my hood up not wanting to bee seen here and continued towards the house I had been told about. 

I can only imagine how they'd react to seeing a human here. I'd probably be harassed as much here as they are anywhere else on Remnant. I then saw a tall house and looked it over quickly. It's big, looks traditional, and seems like it has way to many bedrooms for one person alone. This is defiantly Ghira's house. 

I then walked up to the door and knocked one it. When I did a tall figure opened the door and looked down at me. "Can I help you?" He asked looking at me. I then looked up at him making sure that my hood didn't fall off in the process. 

"Ghira it's me," I said looking at him and he smiled seeing. 

"Glad to see that you decided to come. I got a little worried when you didn't send a message back," He said looking at me. 

"Thought I'd surprise you," I said as I looked at him. "Can I come in before someone sees?" I asked looking at him.

"Of course," He said as he stepped to the side. He then shut the door behind him and I sighed a breath of relief as I took off my cloak. "I hate wearing that thing. Do you have any idea how hard it is to where a cloak in public without looking suspicious. The answers very," I said as I looked at him. 

"Glad to see you haven't changed," He said looking at me. I smiled hearing this and I looked up at him.

"So what's this big project you told me about? The one that's "So important you dare not discuss it over a scroll for fear that someone may intercept it and-"I began only for him to cut me off. 

"I get it, Kali was right I should have used less words," He said as he began to walk away. 

"Kali's here?" I asked looking at the male in front of me. 

"Of course she is, it's an island where Faunas aren't treated like dirt," Ghira said as she looked at me. 

"Anyway back to what I was saying, this idea of yours-" Began as I took a seat. Ghira then sat down in front of me. 

"So I'm going to form a group called the White Fang. It's going to be a group consisting of Faunas that want to be treated equally like humans. However because it will be a fairly new group there's no doubt in my mind that humans will see us as extremist as first. This isn't what I want, I don't want a world filled with conflict between Faunas and humans. I want to bring peace between the two races," He said looking at me. 

I was about to speak but before I could Ghira once again started. "I of course will also allow you to stay here and will help keep some of the more hostile Faunas here away from you. We don't need them scaring you off before this group begins to make any headway," He said looking at me with a smile. I nodded hearing this and looked at him. 

However I then looked at the table in front of us fearing that what I was about to say might hurt him. "I understand Ghira I really do but what makes you think this will end differently than all the other times? So many people have tried what you're about to do and it always ends the same. Either the power goes to their head or a some extremist maniac takes over and turns the organization into something it was never meant to be. Then huntsmen are forced to step in and disband the group," I said as I looked up at him. 

"That's why I'm going to have you here," Ghira said as he looked at me. The room was filled with silence and he looked at me with a smug smile before I sighed. 

"Alright, I'll bite. What do you want me to do?" I asked looking at him. 

"First, I'd like you to be my adviser, to make sure that I don't become a megalomaniac and that when we do make a decision we're certain it's for the better of all Faunas kind," He said looking at me. However there was something off about his voice, something he wasn't telling me.
