chapter 7 || awake

I woke up to the morning sun shining through the curtains, symbolizing  a good day--but I definitely did not wake up to a good day. When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was a pair of arms wrapped around me. My eyes widened as I jumped out of his grip, waking up the sleeping Taehyung

"What ha--"

"YOU!"

Taehyung jumped slightly, startled at my angry voice. "What is it?" I shot daggers at him, slowly remembering the entire night. "You. You were supposed to stay on your side. Instead, you think it'd be fun to sleep with me? You want to try to mess with my emotions? Well guess what? Newsflash! I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!"

Taehyung's eyes widened as he remembered when he asked me not to leave. Yeah, that's right, feel guilty. "I--I just-- I'm so sorry.. I didn't mean to, I promise!" I sighed and my hand went right to my morning hair. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just don't do it again. Okay?" Honestly, I had no idea what is making me so nice now. I just wanna smile at him and stare at him all day, but I would never let myself do that.

I'm not letting myself fall in love again. Not now. Not ever. 

I walked out of the room, praising myself for thinking up an excuse to get away from Taehyung. But why do I wanna stay with him..? No. No I don't. Get yourself together, Jungkook! "Hyungs, I'm going out!" I yelled, looking around. I didn't know if anyone was awake, but I stepped outside anyways. Before I could text my hyungs in a group chat, Taehyung grabbed my arm. "C-can I come with you?"

I paused, or hesitated. Almost all of my head was telling me to say no...

"Yes."

I hopped in the drivers seat and Taehyung jumped into the passenger's. I assumed we would arrive in a quick fifteen minutes or so, so I was driving as fast as I could to perhaps make the time go down even more. 

Although I was driving, I kept stealing quick glances at the older, who was messing around with the air conditioning. He's adorable. No, what am I thinking? Stop this.. I got lost in my thoughts until I heard a loud shout from the passenger seat. "LOOK OUT, JUNGKOOK!"

My eyes moved back to the road and when it did, my eyes widened. We were going 80 miles an hour, about to run smack into a large truck.

I cursed under my breath, turning the car to move off of the road. Thankfully, we didn't end up hitting the truck. Instead, someone hit us from behind. 

Taehyung.. Please be okay, was the last thought I had until my entire vision had turned black.
