"What are you doing here?"

Scott looked up at Cara's question  assuming she had spoken to him, opening his mouth to answer with humor he noticed Malia standing ahead of them her face contorted into an expression that was quite unreadable.

"I heard you were coming to talk to Peter. And since Lydia tells me he's basically Satan in a v-neck, I figured you shouldn't be alone." Malia declared, looking between the two awkwardly as they got off the bike, Cara handing her helmet over to Scott.

Cara raises her eyebrows at the girls answer, managing to crack a smile at the girls attempt to help out. "Trust me, We can handle Peter."

Malia shrugged, tucking her hair behind her ear. "You can handle him even better with me."

Scott reluctantly nodded, sharing a glance with Cara who copied his action before grabbing her arm, her heart beat racing along with the boy's, the two were obviously nervous about Peter meeting Malia, especially with him knowing about his daughter but not vice versa.

"Whats wrong with you?" Malia asks suddenly looking at Cara, indicating she was talking to her.

Scott's head snaps in Cara's direction,  his narrowed eyes telling her to try and control but the girl violently shakes her head in response. "Nothing."

"You're hearts pounding like crazy." Malia admitted, quirking her brows in question. "Are you nervous?"

To that, Cara shook her head, a soft smile present on her face, though her expression was sad. "It not nerves, Malia, it's me being me."

Confused, Malia doesn't respond to that, not bothering to keep the conversation going a she looked around the dim lit room. Cara examined her surroundings, her heart racing as memories of the place came to her and how she had spent too long away from it. It seemed crazy to her that it had been so long since she had seen the loft, Derek and even her friends.

"She's just bad at introductions." Said a voice, making all heads turn to look in the direction of the voice.

Peter sat on the sofa, reading a book not even daring to look until he spotted Cara Williams standing before him, making him set his book down and get up to inspect the girl that had spoken previously.

"Cara..." Peter mumbled, his hands on both her arms as he breathed out whilst shaking his head. "How is that even possible?"

"Just as possible as you coming back." Cara answered, standing straighter hoping she didn't seem weak in front of Peter who gave the girl a smirk in response.

"The Calavera's did it, didn't they." Peter stated his statement which seemed like a question didn't need an answer as the man already knew, he had his fair share of knowledge on how the hunters worked. "What did they do to you?"

Cara took a step away from him, now standing by Scott as she shook her own head to reply.  Peter stood up straighter, not needing to carry on with what seemed to be their conversation.
