Beneath her feet lay the rotting ground of endless death. She glanced up, her vision blurred with never ending lies, her broken lips dry as they curled up in a shallow frown.

What more could she do?... She felt so useless her legs shook below her fragile waist. She was too late to save her father. Of course, she hated him, but never did she ever wish for him to die in such a ludicrous way... Tear after tear, the night turned into the early hours of dawn. Lights beaming; they always shook the trees in a light breeze. She wept for hours or more, it never seemed to end until a few months later where her tears seemed to have run out and there was nothing to do or feel.

December.
December was her favourite time of year; the cold felt warm and the air fogged whenever she filled her lungs with the fresh winter air, but most of all, she was always engrossed with the enchanting view of pure silk white. The snow lay upon the land like a thin blanket. So peaceful and vast. After these months, although not speaking to anyone since her fathers death, she finally found peace within her stone cold heart that could never be melted. Such a vast and vivid scenery burned her eyes but she didn't mind that. Walking outside, the feather-soft breaths of wind kissed her cheeks as though it was welcoming her back. It caressed her cheeks, kissing her more causing her cheeks to burn with fragments of pink. Soft glows of snowflakes landed on her lips as though planting another kiss, a kiss so passionate no man or woman could ever imitate. " Wondrous things happen during winter they say... maybe it's time for me to lay my eyes upon the beauty I missed." She quietly muttered to herself.

It was as she was expecting it to be, in fact, it was better then what she could ever imagine. Icicles dangled on the trees and near the river bed where the school of fish danced and celebrated. Birds sang in harmony as many already started hibernating and waiting listlessly for the new arrival of spring and summer. Paw prints of animals pressed into the grass and wet soil; it was almost invisible to the naked eye unless you'd see it from a different perspective. Paws so small she sweared it must've been a winter coney ( rabbit ). Grass embraced the soft and flakey snow that has now set. As Violet watched with pitiful wonder in her eyes, her heart pounded in disbelief as it ached and pleaded for the lost feelings of love. Her breathing paced faster, her hands started to shake and sweat with vibrations faster then an earthquake, and her feet... once again shook her entire being until she was forced onto her knees. She wanted to feel love, but here was no one who appreciated her for her but instead just loved her outer shell... her ludicrous beauty. Again, she calmed down, she had to, she couldn't be seen so weak in the villagers eyes nor the living wildlife around her.
" Maybe it'll be different..." She sighed under small sobs of mercy.

She stood there, just staring at the sky. Like every evening. The fresh air got in touch with her bare skin and made her shiver. She only wore a nightdress. Like every evening. The wind caused her long, curly, dark chocolate hair to dance along with the grass, moving both in a strange, but beautiful way. The sky was filled with small, luminous points, usually known as stars. The bright, full, blood moon watching over them.

Did she have someone to watch over her as well? This was a question she had asked herself a lot. All her life she was searching for the answer. But...She could never find it. Would the day ever come? Maybe. If not, what was she supposed to do? "Will you... Please look after me too... Moon?" Violet spoke those words, breaking the silence for the first time, ever since she had begun to observe the stars with their bizarre uniqueness. But there was no answer to be heard.
