The scream could be heard even outside of the house. He dashed into the bathroom, breaking the door down with every inch of force he could master up. He saw blood leaking from under it. She sat in the corner hugging her knees into her chest, her arms and legs covered in cuts caused by the shattered fragments of glass. The blood was as dark as the thick poison you’d swallow, and drop dead in seconds. It had tiny fragments scattered into the blood that gleamed, blinding the young man with fear and horror.

“W-what’s going on? What happened?” He choked back tears that were threatening to fall. He didn't know he was capable of crying for someone he was asked to kill.

“T-the mirror shattered when I looked at it...When I saw myself I saw it... I was covered in blood! It’s my fault my father died! He loved that piano piece I always played!” Her screams were choking her, as tears trickled down her cheeks like a waterfall.
He grabbed her wrists gently embracing her into his chest. There was a silence, but that silence wasn’t quiet at all...Violet was clenching his shirt drenching it with her salty crystals that formed in her eyes. Desian was holding her as tightly but as gently as he could, comforting her and whispering sweet pieces of warmth.

Why is he comforting someone so weak and broken? Did he love her?... No that couldn't be possible... They had only just met...Haven't they?

“Shh...It’s going to be ok...It was never your fault.” He tilts her head up so she’d meet his gaze. He wipes her tears away drying her wet cheeks and eyes with a loving poisonous enchantment.

“You being alright is all that matters, and I’m sure your father wouldn’t want to see you so broken right now...It was never your fault and it’s too late to start regretting now Vena.” Her cheeks slowly catch colour again. Her eyes become softer and her crying almost comes to a stop with a few tears still escaping.

“No... it’s not too late to regret what happened... I appreciate how supportive and loving you are, Des. Truly makes me feel like the luckiest woman in this cruel world. But, this is what I am meant to suffer from." She spoke gently, hoping her voice wouldn’t crack and make her break down again.

Desian tried to convince her otherwise but he couldn't...He didn't know how to erase those memories that haunted her.
“ Lets get you cleaned up. I don’t want you hurting yourself on these broken fragments of glass.”

He sat her down in a chair and got up, got a med kit and sat back down treating her wounds properly. You would almost mistake him for a good guy. But this man has everything but a good past, or rather, a terrifying past...

A few stinging moments and a few break downs later he managed to calm her down properly.

“There, you’re all patched up Vena.” He kisses her now-patched up injuries, much like a mother would to a loving child. It was adorable and it made Violet blush slightly while she covered her face in embarrassment.

“Stop. I’m not a child you know. ” She replies with slight hesitation, the sort a child would have.

“Oh I know that.” He winks teasingly making her blush like a tomato once again. He found amusement out of this mainly but he loved it. She was so vulnerable which made him feel all the more in control.

“ I hate you!" She exclaimed sarcastically, not wanting him to stop but did at the same time.

“ I love you too!” He spoke again teasing her even more making sure it was well known by her. He was sure he had convinced her of his fake love for her...Or was it real after all? He didn't know yet.

He grabbed her hand, yanked her down to his level and landed a kiss on her feather lips. She tried fighting it with all her urge, but she ended up giving in to her desire. Her body stopped tensing up and her shoulders relaxed, as her arms snaked around his neck holding him closer, demanding more before their lips parted.

They both caught each other's gaze and smiled ridiculously, at their own cheekiness and childishness and yet blossoming hearts.
