Juvia pushed her door open and fell on the bed. She sighed, regretting everything that had just happened.

*Flashback*

"You have to have more confidence in yourself! You can't just let them push you around anymore!"

"I can't! I can't do this!"

Gray grabbed her arms at her sides, shaking her roughly. "Why are you so negative? What's wrong with you?" His nails scraped her skin.

Juvia started crying, struggling to get out of his tight grip. "Let me go!" She twisted, pulling and kicking. "Please, let me go! You're hurting me, Gray! Let go!" She barely registered when his grip loosened, letting her fall to the floor like a rag doll.

"Juvia...I-I'm sorry...I didn't mean to hurt you, I swear." The raven haired boy knelt down in front of her, reaching out hesitantly. She slapped his hand away.

"Don't touch me!" She cried, running into her room.

*End of Flashback*

The small girl sat up, rubbing her red eyes. She could hear Gray pounding on the door, pleading to come inside. How many times had they done this? Screamed at each other until their throats were raw, then made up as if everything were fine again? This wasn't fair...what was wrong with them? She froze.

Was it her?

Suddenly, the harsh knocking stopped. Juvia heard Lyon, telling Gray to calm down and give her time. Maybe it was her fault...

...But wasn't Gray the one pressuring her? She knew he just wanted her to get better, to be healthy mentally and stand up to the girls bullying her. But couldn't he see that it was hurting her, making her think she would never be good enough?

She was tired of this. She was tired of her problems, of her life. Why was it always the same? Something good would come, making her think things would change, only to break her heart.

I have to get away from here.

I can't do this...not anymore...I'm sorry...

Juvia slowly got up, opened the door, and stepped into the hall. She looked around, but it seemed like neither Gray nor Lyon were there. She walked into the kitchen, thirsty for a glass of water. Walking as silently as she could, the small girl kept her gaze on the ground and moved slowly.

She didn't get very far before she slammed into another body. Looking up at the silver-haired boy, she frowned and got up. She began to rub her forehead, obviously in pain. Fortunately, the boy stopped and held out a hand. She gratefully took it and was lifted from her seat on the ground.

"Don't stand in the middle of the hall."

"Watch where you're going."

"Idiot." She wasn't sure if he heard that one...

She felt his worried eyes follow her as she grabbed a glass. They tracked her every move until she finally snapped. "What?"

"What did you do to Gray?"

"What did I do? Are you kidding me?" She rolled up her sleeve slightly to show the nail marks and scratches. "Look at what he did to me!" The taller boy stood in shock, mouth slightly open. He began to walk away, muttering that he was going to beat up his cousin for his cruel actions when Juvia grabbed his arm. "Please don't tell him. It'll only make him worse." She took a deep breath. Could she tell Lyon? Could she trust him? She decided he was safe before tugging his arm to bring him closer. "Can I tell you something? A secret?"

He looked uneasy, shifting his gaze around and shuffling his feet. "You don't want me to tell Gray?"

"No." Her voice was flat, hard. She didn't care if she was being harsh; she just knew that bringing up the topic would not end well with the raven haired

The silver haired boy sighed and nodded, running a hand through his hair.

Can I really trust him?

His blue eyes were full of gentle expectancy, waiting patiently for an answer. As if he really wanted to hear what she had to say, but wouldn't push her about it.

I have to trust him. He's the only person left for me to turn to. And he said he wouldn't tell Gray...I have to take the risk.

Juvia took a deep breath, hands gripping at her arms tightly. As if she were trying to hold herself together.

"I'm running away."

*TT-TT WAY TOO LONG, NICOLE! *slaps self*

BUT...I have to help plan PROM! UGH!

At least I get to see Hamilton next week...

BUT STILL! NO EXCUSE FOR NOT UPDATING!!

However, I am trying to put more focus into the chapters as yes, it is nearing the end of this fic. I can feel that the end is near. There MAY or MAY NOT be a sequel...it partly depends on whoever actually reads this! I'm guessing the next two chapters are the going to be the last two...

BAI~
