*Rae's POV*
"Rae? Rachel? Hellooooo? Are you even listening to me?" Emma nudged me. I was zoned out and came back to her and nodded.
"Yes yes, something about getting revenge?" I said, knowing she was talking about that. It's practically all she ever talks about. Ever since Luke didn't remember her name in the hospital that day, shes been going off about it. And I don't blame her. That boy is basically the devil in human form.
I, of course, hadn't told her that I had been talking to Luke, and that we got in a fight, but she probably thought my hatred for him was centered around what he did to her.
"Yea. God I need revenge so much," Emma commented for the hundredth time, looking over at Luke. His ever-so-cool group were huddled around a table, talking about god knows what.
Emma had been going on and on ever since the whole party thing about revenge. She's been emotionally attached and hooked on making sure that Luke meets with a terrible fate. Not death, particularly, more of a horrifying event to traumatize him. She had made up dozens of lists on what to do, all of them seeming quite harsh.
As she sat there, sutton in her anger, a light bulb seemed to go off in her head. She smiled widely and looked at me with large and deeming eyes.
"Raeeee, my bestest bestest friend who I love so dearly and completely-" She began.
"No. No absolutely not. I don't care what it is. No," I said plainly, for I had already knew that this plan of hers somehow involved me.
"Come on pleeeeaase. I just thought of the perfect way to get back at Luke," she smiled and then looked around to make sure no one was listening. "You are going to make him fall in love with you, then break his heart. Gain all of his darkest secrets and tell everyone. We are going to ruin Luke Hemmings."
"Have you quite finished? He hates me! He literally hates me. Luke is the most popular guy here! And I don't even think he's ever had a steady girlfriend! There is absolutely, no possibility of him even remotely thinking we're 'friends'!" I screamed back at her. She, of course didn't know that Luke and I used to walk home together. She knew nothing.
"That's what I'm here for. I'm gonna glam you up. Put on a little makeup do your hair - get a better wardrobe defiantly. Rae, I am going to make you the prettiest girl at Westwood," Emma chimed, walking away before I could say no. Damn.
I looked over at Luke and caught him looking at me. He mouthed something to me, but I couldn't make it out. He immediately turned away after saying that. I turned back around slowly and began to eat my food.
The boys then all came around and sat down. All their bruises and cuts from the day before showing predominantly. Michael had a black eye and a cut on his lip, Ashton a tiny little cut on his cheek with some discolouring on his arms. Calum looked the least damaged, with only a tiny cut on his lip that could easily be mistaken for a cold-sore.
"So how is everything?" I asked them. They all fell into their seats and looked awful.
"I, once again, feel like death," Michael stated. "I think hangovers are nothing compared to beatings."
All the boys nodded their heads as a response. I laughed and took a bit of my sandwich, sneaking another peak at Luke and his crew. I let out a small sigh and looked down.
"Everything alright there Rae?" Ashton asked. I looked up at him and nodded.
"Ya sorry I just zoned out."
Zoned out my ass. I have got to forget about Luke. He's a jerk who deserves every single layer of hell.
