Yato woke up, his pain now lowered. Next to him was Yukine's unconscious body. Yato shot up, shaking Yukine's body vigorously. "Y-Yukine, wake up!" Yukine was unresponsive, a slur of emotions welling up inside of Yato, a flood of sickness waving over his body. He climbed on top of Yukine and pushed on his chest. Yukine laid still, shallow but unnoticeable breaths leaving his body. It was obvious he was in pain.
"Yukine, answer me damnit! Why aren't you answering me? You're scaring me!" Yato begged, his pain now noticeable. Yato searches every inch of Yukine's body, but didn't find a scratch. "He must just be in shock.. I hope.." Yato picked Yukine up and hugged him. "Yukine... Please wake up. Please don't be hurt... I don't want you hurt..." Yato spoke softly.
Yukine heard his soft words and opened his eyes, a vicious cough escaping his body. Yato's eyes widened as he hugged Yukine tightly. "Y-Yukine! You're awake!" He exclaimed happily. Yukine's body still laid limp, though he was still awake. His eyes fluttered back open, the life seeming to flow back into him. He choked, spit flying out of his mouth. He coughed again, gripping onto his chest. Loud gasps if air left his mouth. He sighed as he regained his breath. "Y-Yukine! What happened? What did you do to yourself?" Yato asked as he hugged Yukine tightly. Yukine attempted to punch Yato off before he had a sudden change of mind and hugged Yato back, tears streaming from his eyes.
It seemed that Yukine had a change of heart overnight. He must have kept to much of it in and had a mental break down. "Yato! I'm so sorry for everything I've done. I was just mad because I didn't want to be dead. I just want to be alive again, but I took it off on you.. I'm so sorry..." Yukine cried into Yato's shoulder. Yato held Yukine tight, his hand rubbing Yukine's back. "Yukine, don't be sorry. I don't blame you... I'm so sorry you were so wrongfully killed.. you didn't and still don't deserve it.." Yato spoke, his words soft and sincere. Yato pulled away and looked into Yukine's eyes. Yukine's eyes were puffy and red. Yukine wiped the tears away and stared at Yato.
Yato slowly bent down and pecked Yukine's lips. He sat back up, a small smile spread on his face. Yukine clung onto Yato and sniffled, his face against Yato's neck. "Y-Yato.." he spoke quietly, smiling. Yukine blinked, his one good eye they only one that moved as he tightly gripped Yato's shirt, cuddling closer to him. Yato felt a sharp pain and grabbed the back of his neck. The sting felt familiar, it was an unwanted feeling. Yukine was having a dirty thought, but who it was about wasn't clear. "What are you hinok g about, Yukine?" Yato asked causally, hoping to get the truth out of the smaller boy. Yukine shook his head and she nuzzled into Yato's chest. "Nothing, my mind is blank at the moment." He said as he closed his one eye. Since he was half blinded, his bad eye wasn't responsive at all, causing it to stay open while he slept or blinked.
"Come on, Yukine. I felt that sting. What are you thinking about." Yato said, his fingers running through Yukine's hair. A blush creeped across Yukine's face as he looked up, his eyes glimmering. "I-I... I really wanna kiss you.." he admitted, his head buried in Yato's chest. Yato smiled brightly and gently rubbed Yukine's back. "You can do it, I don't mind~" he spoke as Yukine quickly picked up his head and kissed Yato gently. Yato was surprised at first, but soon kissed back,. Yukine's eye fluttered closed as he moaned into the kiss quietly. Yato held Yukine's cheeks as he broke the kiss to breathe.
Yukine smiled as he hugged Yato tightly. "You're not as bad as I thought~" Yukine teased as he ran his finger down Yato's head and booped Yato's nose. Yato held Yukine's hand as his eyes shined bright. "Yukine, I love you, please be mine." He begged. Yukine smiled as he kissed Yato's cheek. "Okay, but don't expect me to be nice to you even though we're dating. No one gets mercy from me~" he teased again, hugging Yato tightly. Yato held Yukine close, his shallow breaths pushing against Yukine's hair, blowing it to the side. Yukine sat up and stretched, many bones in his body popping loudly.
Yato suddenly got a call, causing him to jump as the vibration shook his body. He quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket and answered it, his usual happy voice ringing through the open space around them. "Thank you for calling! Fast, affordable, and reliable! Delivery God Yato, at your service!" He chimed happily. "Yes, right now is a great time in fact! Okay, and what is your address? Great, thank you, I'll be there soon, bye!" He hung up, shoving his phone back in his pocket. "Get up, Yukine! We just got a job!" He said as he held a hand out, offering to help him up. Yukine took Yato's hand and stood as Yato pulled him, standing by Yato's side. "What's the job?" He asked as he held his hand behind his back.
Yato began to walk, his loud footsteps could be heard from the end of the street. "Before you became my Regalia, I had gotten a job to find one kids cat, Milord. I just got a call from the kid asking if we could fix their fence so Milord stops running away." He explained, his arms swinging against his side. Yukine thought as he stared up at the vibrant blue sky. "Well, did anyone ever think that maybe he's leaving for a reason? Can't animals see the phantoms like us, too?" He asked. Yato scratched his head as he thought of what Yukine said. "You know what, maybe you're right. I felt a presence of something there the first time, but I thought nothing of it." He said as they soon approached the house, going to the front door and knocking loudly.
