After five years of leaving here in Massachusetts, I finally reached most of my goals. Last year I met my brother at the hospital where I work. He became the successor of my late father's restaurant in New York but he got into an accident which made him my patient. My mom was so worried and happy at the same time since my brother came back but with a broken leg due to the car accident.

I finally got some savings and now we're moving to a new apartment in New York to become closer to my brother since it is my mom's wish. As I went through my old stuffs to pack our things, I found a small box with Hanna's letters in it. This really brings back memories. I wonder how she's doing right now. The last time I talked to her was that night. It was such a cold night.

My heart felt a sudden ache as I reread these letters but there's something more to it. There is one letter that I haven't read yet. The envelope is still sealed. She probably slipped it before we left but I cannot remember anything about bringing this with me. It was probably mom.

My tears fell down unconsciously as I read the content of this letter which says.

"Dear Dave, You might not change your mind at all but I'll still be hopelessly waiting for you. I'll give you three years to answer my feelings for you. I'll be eighteen then so please wait for me and I'll wait for you to come back as well but if ever I won't receive any reply by then I'll humbly give up. I love you Dave and I hope you also do. -Hanna"

Her memories reminisced in me. Her sweet smile, her lively attitude, and how she's so unpredictable made me miss her so badly. I want to embrace her. How I wish I'm there with her. My tears keeps on falling down my face as I reminisced our moments together.

"Are you done there? Oh honey what's wrong?" Mom asked when she saw me in this state. I immediately wiped my tears then I look at her with a serious yet hopeful face.

"I'm going back, I'm going back to Japan mom.'

As soon as I got off the plane, I immediately went to that town where we used to live. I brought with me some gifts and the wedding ring I bought especially for Hanna. We haven't contacted each other even once for the past five years making me feel nervous and excited to meet her again. I wonder how she's doing and I hope she's still waiting for me.

It took so long for me to realize how I wanted to be with her and how much I love her but I hope I'm not too late to answer her feelings for me. I can't help but imagine what kind of reaction I'll get when she will see me again. As I think about how surprised and happy she will be, my heart beat keeps on raising with excitement.

When I arrived at the town, things weren't like they were before. The road became thinner and there are new buildings along the streets. The vacant lands are now all occupied. The places we used to play together with Hanna and Seth in the neighborhood are a lot more crowded. I stopped by our old house but someone has already owned the property and I'm not surprise since we sold it before we even left.

I went over to the house next door where Hanna lives. I push the doorbell button several times but no one's coming out. They're probably not home so I just waited outside. It's getting dark but still no one has arrived so I just decided to visit Seth even though I really wanted Hanna to see me first. Seth's residence is just a few blocks away.

It has also been quite some time since the last time I talked to him. Just like Hanna, I haven't gotten any news about him for the last five years. Maybe he's now a respected business man and took over he's father's company. I bet he's doing really great by now.

I pushed the doorbell button as soon as I got to the front door. Their house is huge as always. It has been one of the best in town just like Hanna's. This is just one of their many houses in the country but I hope he's here by now. I waited for quite a while when finally someone went to open the door. I wonder what took them so long.
